This is a list of what is new at DIES GAUDII.

18 September 2004:
I have noticed that on several parts of DIES GAUDII, certain characters such as é and ü were changed to some combinations of nonsense characters. If you see any of those unusual combinations in any of the sections, please tell me. I would appreciate it.

There is something that disturbs me on Rob's Anime Meganekko Gallery (which happens to be down at the moment). The author of the site, Rob Kelk, says "Why isn't my favourite meganekko in the Gallery? [...] It might be because she only wears glasses very rarely (such as the one time in the entire Sailor Moon anime that Ami wears glasses - sorry, but once in 200 episodes, four specials, and three movies isn't enough to qualify for inclusion here)." First of all, and obviously, he is wrong. Ami Mizuno wears glasses in episode 177 and in the Ami-chan no Hatsukoi special. In fact, there are more scenes with her wearing glasses than scenes with Tellu wearing glasses! Rob includes Tellu on his "Part-time Meganekko" section, but he calls her "Telulu." It is not that hard to spell her name in a sensible way. Tellu is from Tellurite (that should remind you that Mimete is from Mimetite, and Eudial is from Eudialyte). Ami even wears glasses more often than Minako Tsukiyama (from Maria-sama ga Miteru) does! I can just imagine the person's "justifications" for including Minako Tsukiyama and Tellu, but not Ami:

"Sure, Ami actually wears glasses in more scenes than Minako Tsukiyama and Tellu, but in proportion the amount of time Minako Tsukiyama and Tellu wear glasses to the overall amount of time they are shown in their respective series, they are more often 'Part-time Meganekko'."

I would retort "You are shifting the goal posts. You said 'but once in 200 episodes, four specials, and three movies' (indicating individual occurrences), not 'proportionally more often seen wearing glasses'."

Notice that Rob's site deals with anime versions of girls with glasses. Perhaps I should create a site that deals with manga versions of girls. What do you think? Should I create one? Hotaru will certainly be included because she wears glasses in the Parallel Sailor Moon story!
