Volume nine of the original version of the Bish jo Senshi S r M n manga features an early image of Sailor Saturn by Naoko Takeuchi. This section features that image. It also features transliterations and translations of the text that appear on the image. Fans should notice the major differences between the Sailor Saturn in that image and the versions of Sailor Saturn that they already know of from the various continuities.
See the larger version of the Sailor Saturn image by clicking on yellow Sailor Saturn image on the left.
Note: doiro can mean ochre (a moderate yellow-orange to orange color) or khaki (a yellowish brown color). The planet Saturn often appears as brownish or orangish yellow in photographs. In that case, doiro is understandable. Moreover, doiro contains the kanji that represents the Taoism element Earth: . That kanji is relevant to one of the Japanese names of the planet Saturn: Dosei). Moreover, earth (i.e. soil) is relevent to the Roman god Saturn: he is a god of agriculture concerned with the sowing of the seeds.
