Banane is the strange-looking fairy who wears an outfit that makes him look like a large banana. He first appears in the Bishjo Senshi S
r M
n SuperS movie when he drives his gondola full of kidnapped children toward the Marzipannu Castle. Poupelin and Orangeat are also returning to the castle at the same time. The three fairies control their gondolas when they play their pipes. When the sailor soldiers come near the castle on a gondola, Banane and Orangeat attack them with cannon balls. After the sailor soldiers arrive at the castle, Poupelin, Banane, and Orangeat attack with their Bonbon Babies. Banane uses the orange Bonbon Babies when he attacks his enemies. Sailor Mars uses her Mars Flame Sniper maneuver to destroy Banane’s pipe. Then Banane becomes an orange cuckoo that flies away. The Bishjo Senshi Sr Mn SuperS Movie Memorial Album calls Banane a kakk
no ysei, which means cuckoo fairy. In the Materials Collection, Ms. Takeuchi states that Banane is reptilian and his tongue stretches out.
