Live Action Sailor Moon update (Episode 10 preview, week through 11/28 diaries)

"Its Saturday night dance fever! Yeah!"
"Don't make me punch you."

Today's update is the episode 10 preview and the entirety of last week's diaries. This week's will be up tomorrow.

Having fought with her mom, Usagi runs away from home, and ends up taking shelter at Rei's Hikawa Shrine. There a girl name Erika is working on an animated picture show for the children. The story of the picture show is "Kaguya Hime." Erika believes the mother she had lost [read: died] has returned to the moon. Rei, who just like Erika lost her mother, feels as though she is meeting a version of her child self. Usagi, learning this fact [of Rei's mother being dead] for the first time, reflects upon her own complaints about her mother.

As these events are occurring, accidents involving people and places which have to do with the word "Princess" [written in katakana] are beginning to happen. The princess of a certain country suddenly collapses, somewhere else a picture book of Snow White catches on fire. And so finally Erica, who thinks that she is like Kaguya hime, gets in trouble as well!

I happen to believe that I'm Princess Peach of the Mushroom Kingdom; is the Dark Kingdom going to go after me too?Whenever they try to catch me I'll answer, "I'm sorry but your princess is in another castle!"

You ought to be somewhat familiar with the story of Kaguya-hime from the S movie. If you've forgotten, though, this page sums up the fairy tale quite nicely.

And now we do the diaries.

Sailor Moon:

Just like we do every day, today we fought against a youma. And of course having to transform is also a daily occurrence at this point. It'd be great if the youma would take a break for one day... or so Usagi thinks! This was Sawai Miyuu.

She did her entry from the point of view of the person whose role she plays. How incredibly clever, I'd have never thought to do that.

Sailor Mars:

Today we had a night shoot. Since we were in our costumes it was utterly freezing. During the break periods everyone crowded around the fire. Its not really good for the senshi of flame and passion to be chilled you know. We senshi won't lose in our battle against the cold winter and will fight back, so please cheer us on.

She's 17 and she can go shopping by herself! She's going to make it after all!  [throws hat into the air]

Sailor Mercury:

Recently I spotted a girl walking around with her mother wearing Sailor Moon's clothing. The size may have been a bit too big and the hip ribbon (while walking) kept splashing about. But she was incredibly cute. It makes me remember how when I was a kid I really wanted to be like the Sailor Senshi. Just like her I used to think over and over "I want to be Mercury!" Now, being able to see myself as having become Mercury, it makes me really happy.

Sailor Jupiter:

Very soon my favourite time of the year is coming. That would be Christmas and my birthday. [Her birthday is 12/26] I'm really not good with cold weather but since there are so many things to do and events to go to, I love December.

Sailor Venus:
Hi everyone, have you listened to the CD that came out? I've heard a lot of people's thoughts on the CD and I'm really happy about it. Thank you very much! Recently I've been going shopping on my own. (laughs) When the film shoots end early I go around on my own to shop. (laughs) Recently I bought a white sweater.

If you think that sounds a tad awkward, I've not taken any liberties in translating it. She did indeed repeat herself in both word use and sentence substance.

Mercury wins for once!

Incidentally, as pointed out in our forums last week by Gallifrey900, one of the upcoming live action CDs has a track called "Artemis." Which is pretty good evidence for his existence in the series.
