Live
Action Sailor Moon update (Episode 8 preview)

Shouldn't
have eaten so many beans last night, cowboy! |
The episode 8 preview went up at the official
Live Action Sailor Moon page. Rather than babelfish it, though, we figured
we'd "translate" it. Note the fact that they are two very different
things. Babelfish is more like a comedy site that you go to when you want to
see what language looks like after being put in a blender.
There's also an update on Hama Chisaki's website which I'll get into after
the preview.
There's going to be a "Become an Aino Minako Mascot Character" contest! The winner receives a trophy, and gets to dress up as
a character that Aino Minako designed herself, "Nakonako." As is to
be expected, Minako's huge fan, Usagi, is really looking forward to it.
Ami, Rei, and Makoto are meanwhile lamenting the mountain-sized amount of work they have to do for
the contest's preparations. Trouble begins brewing between Rei and Makoto. Rei demands that each do their own work, while Makoto rebukes that the senshi should help each other out in tandem. An
ominous, threatening mood develops between the two of them.
Finally the day of the contest arrives. When Makoto goes to the Hikawa jinja to deliver the work that Usagi had asked for, she witnesses Rei argue with a man and enter his car. "Could she have been kidnapped?!" Makoto chases after Rei, hoping she will be able to help.
Meanwhile, Usagi has arrived at the contest hall, but inside she notices a bizarre atmosphere and indications of a
youma presence.
Sounds like a good time will be had by all.
Now then, like I said, Hama Chisaki's fun fun website has had a bit of an
update to it. There's a new members are and diaries and all sorts of good
stuff. And I'd link you to it but you're not going to be able to see it.

"What?
You mean American visit my site? We can't have that!" |
It seems that the nice folks who run her site have decided to block any IP
outside of Japan. If you head to HamaChisaki.com you're going to run into a
403 Forbidden error. Its curious that they went with getting her a .com rather
than .co.jp though. You'd think that if they're going to pull something like
this off, they'd want to go all the way. Of course there's a better way for
them to save bandwidth... by not using so many annoying scripts. (The mouse
pointer animation on the main page makes it almost impossible to click the
links.)
Anyway while strolling through her diary updates on that page (she writes
diaries on her site almost daily) I found that she continues to talk
about food in them as well. And her most recent work is called
"melon."
The big news on her site is a new CD she's got coming up, and yesterday she
announced her first ever "event"- a Christmas party with Hama
Chisaki on December 23rd. They're going to play fun games like "Try to
get something to eat before Chisaki sucks everything into the time/space
rupture that is her mouth" and "Try to kiss Chisaki under the
mistletoe before she swallows it and you." (The gloves are off, kid!)
Before I forget, I think her 2004 calendar is out or will be out soon, too. So
if you're interested in a pictorial calendar of an underage girl whose
promotional company doesn't want you to read her website because you don't
live in her country- go ahead and order one for you and each of your friends!
I will hand one thing to the agency she belongs to, though- at least
they've built her a well done and regularly updated website. The rest
of the senshi actresses don't have anything close, although there may be some
non-official big ones coming up in the future.
