Before we begin, a very thorough Play-By-Play look at PGSM Episode
two as
written up by Gerald of
SuperSentai.com is now available. Please read the article <here>
and let him know what you think.
Since the episode 5 preview at official
Sailor Moon page was updated, we in turn update as well. Its actually a
rather logical procession of events, because they don't send me these things
in advance. (Unfortunately.) It would be nice if they did, though. Next time I
talk to the head of HICBC, or as I call him, "Hikkubikku honchou-chan"
(say it out loud, its a lot of fun), I'll be sure to demand that they do
so.
Ami has true friends in Usagi and Rei- the first friends she's had in
her entire life- and this in turn has made
her fateful encounter with them one of great joy. At the same time, the possibility of losing the two of them scares her. Trying to follow what her "How to make real friends" book instructs,
Ami attempts to loosen up. She calls "Usagi-san" "Usagi" and sings Karaoke even though she's bad at it. Ami begins to overstrain herself to the point where she starts losing her grasp. And finally, under severe mental pressure, she collapses.
At that same time, the senshi get information from Luna on a possible lead. Its said that a jewel which may very well be the legendary Ginzuishou has been found.
Usagi and the others rush to a class called the "Student Flower Arrangement
Class." Resting on the chest of the lecturer of this class is said to be a suspicious, glowing pendant.
As would be expected, lying in wait for a fight at the courses' location is a Dark Kingdom youma, also aiming for the Ginzuishou. Ami's
heart has been deeply touched by her friendship with Usagi. Will she be able to
wield her powers as Sailor Mercury and join her friends against this strong enemy?
Sorry the English isn't better in this week's preview. They write these
sentences so awkward; the word "Ami" ends it almost every time. When
you're reading the sentence in Japanese, as, say, a narrator, it can be
made to sound impressive because the name "Ami" would be stressed at
the end for impact. When you're trying to translate it, though, it just makes
for confusion. The last sentence there was rather odd as well. The literal
translation is what you see above. There's no way for me to make it sound
better without possibly misinterpreting what they mean.
Here is last week's diary
entry for Venus, and this week's diary entries for Moon and Mars.
Sailor Venus:
I had school again today. The entrance of Sailor Venus on the show is getting closer and closer... I'm worried as to whether my performance will be good but even if I fail, I think that as
Minako I'll be trying to do my best.
Sailor Moon:
How do you do? This is 16 year old Sawai Miyu! (laughs) On the day of my birthday the staff had a party for me and
it was so incredible. My first day as a 16 year old started off with that
[joyous] feeling!! I was completely taken aback by it since the party happened without warning, but I was really
happy because of it. Thank you everyone! Please continue to take care of me from now on as well.
Sailor Mars:
I encountered a curious artifact at the location shoot today. A crescent moon cut out of a metallic sheet. One would imagine that the color of the moon would be some sort of yellow, but this was instead a mysterious grey. If the other 4 sailor senshi were to look at this artifact I wonder what they would think...?
The language she uses in this is slightly more flowing in Japanese than it
comes out in English. I think Mars is going to be this week's winner.
