The second episode starts out with narration by Usagi,
over scenes from last episode. ‘I’m Usagi Tsukino, and I met this
mysterious stuffed cat named Luna, and transformed into the sailor suited
pretty guardian Sailormoon! I beat an enemy called a Youma, and saved my
friend Naru-chan. But it seems like my fight is just starting. I have to find
the other senshi. It’s so exciting!
[Opening Credits]
Zoom into the Dark Kingdom with dim lights outside of it. We see the
interior where Queen Beryl is standing and Jadeite is bowing his upper body.
The interior is like a cave and Queen Beryl’s voice echoes. A bright light
comes from behind her and two columns at each of her side. Queen Beryl asks,
‘Jadeite, is it true that one of the Sailor Senshi has awakened.’ The
camera slowly zooms in and a purple light glows beneath them as he confirms.
‘She calls herself Sailor Moon,’ he says as she widens her eyes. She
distastefully declares, ‘That little girl dares to cross again?’ She takes
a breath as she revolves her head delightfully before saying, ‘They must be
trying to…’
We see a shadow cast the stone. She turns her head sharply to the left.
‘Jadeite, keep gathering energy from the humans.’ Cut to Jadeite looking
up to her. He concurs. Cut to full shot of Queen Beryl moves her right arm up
to transported an item in a light streak to him. He clasps his right hand to
his chest. He looks down at it. He opens his hand. Cut to close-up of his
hand. It is a sponge-like clump with some plastic circles on random places of
it. ‘If we continue to gather energy, doomsday will fall upon the Earth!’
She says it on a strange frame of her face with lots of headroom. From her
neck to about ‘two heads’ above her. Dissolve to a scene zooming out from
the moon to the Earth. The Earth is engulfed by purple light in black outer
space. Very happily she says, ‘The end of everything!’ She ends it with a
smile.
Then at Crown Karaoke Center, a turtle slowly moves in its glass container.
Motoki (Kikawada Masaya, who was in Battle Royale 2) is watching the turtle on
the counter. Motoki is called Andrew in the American, Spanish and Brazilian
dubbed anime. He grins and then he looks up when he hears a small but firm
voice say, ‘Here.’ The camera pans left to see Usagi holding a card out to
him. She is in her school uniform and stuffed Luna is popping out of a sturdy
black bag of hers. He says, ‘Welcome.’ It is a little laminated card with
a picture of Luna’s face on it, the word ‘Passport’ on the top and
‘pass 1 year long’ in kanji on the left. ‘Look,’ she says. She presses
against the glass of the turtle container. He asks, ‘A year long pass?’
‘Hmm…’ he ponders. He looks up at her, pouts his lips and says, ‘Okay,
go ahead then.’ She backs up, thanks her, and walks happily off. He gets up
after she has left the screen and in a confused gaze asks himself, ‘Did we
sell year-long entry passports?’
As Usagi enters the hall of doors (four in this hall, it seems to be more
after the left corner) with mirrors white-lines (8 rows and 3 columns), she
peers back to check if anyone is looking with a mischievous smirk. She turns
back and looks around. She opens the second door on our left side. She closes
the door and it is disappears. Close-up to Usagi in a white walled room with a
rail. She has her wallet in her hand. ‘Wow!’ A light sconce behind her, it
has four bronze sheets on each side lowered by a inch from the top frame. Each
side has a shape that beams light. The shape shown looks like it could be the
planet Jupiter sign. Light also comes from four corners on the top beaming out
four light rays. Cut to a shot of most of the room, we see her back. She
scuttles down the staircase. To the far right, we see another light. A cool
star-shaped hanging lamp, it is a star hanging from the ceiling. Lines
separate each point, it is a baize color, it has dark shapes (Crescent moons,
planets, stars, etc. of all sizes) on it.
On the left wall near the staircase, there is another light that has a
curve end the light shape is an orb.
Similar lights are at the far end. Two of them, within a concave arced
area. Between them is a flat screen karaoke machine on a furniture stand with
wheels. Behind the computer, there is another arc, with a light from it. The
computer stand is on top of three round steps. She descends the spiraling
staircase.
The stairs at least go a floor down. In the center of the room, there is a
round table with (suspiciously) five chairs. Chairs Clockwise: Purple, Green,
White, Pink, and Blue. Another flat-screen computer on the table, facing the
green chair. There are three hanging lights (one longer than another) on the
right side at the far end. She drops her bag on the pink chair. Luna groans.
The bag also has a stuff bunny [one of the extra touches, well, name your
child Bunny everyone]. Usagi goes to the candy dispensers on top of white wall
unit in the room. The three capsule-shaped candy dispenser range in size small
to large. The smallest has bubblegum balls and the colors are red, pink,
yellow, baby blue, blue, white, and light orange. The second candy is
identifiable [petting zoo food?] two colors (wheat color and tan) one on top
of another. The largest have those coin machine plastic bulbs (top is
color-tinted clear and the bottom is a color) with prizes inside. The colors
vary from green, yellow, purple, red, and baby blue. One combination is clear
purple with red bottom. She exclaims, ‘Looks delicious!’
A red and a blue glass on the side of the dispensers.
Pan from rainbow colored glass bottles [pink and aqua squiggly square
bottles, green long neck oval bottom, dark blue long neck rectangle bottle,
aqua ‘water-bottle’ looking bottle, yellow ‘vegetable oil’ looking
bottle, red long-neck slope bottle, a fuchsia long-neck double-ring round
ended bottle and two one bigger than the other star-shaped bottles.], bouquets
of flowers (round silver-framed mirror above it), a four-legged decoration
holding a bowl [a small scented candle holder perhaps?], and a yellow lava
lamp at the end of the wall.
Usagi walks up the three round steps (mentioned before) to the flat screen
karaoke machine at the back. She picks up a book from the computer stand that
has one shelf. As she walks down the three steps with the book, she asks Luna,
‘You made this place?’ ‘I just borrowed a bit of their space,’ she
responds. Usagi sits on the blue chair. ‘Only the Sailor Senshi can come in,
and no one else can even see this room.’ She opens the songbook
‘LunaKara’ with has an illustration of Luna on it. Usagi gasps as she
finds a page of her favorite pop idol, ‘You even have Aino Minako’s latest
song!’ Her new album is called Venus, it says ‘special artist album’.
‘We can talk about anything here,’ Luna says. Usagi nods.
Luna proceeds to explain their mission ‘is to seal the great evil that is
awakening.’ She hops in front of the table computer. ‘But in order to do
that, we must find the Princess, and the legendary silver crystal (Maboroshi
no Ginzuisho).’ She hears a noise and hops over to where Usagi is standing.
She has now transformed herself into a rocker type girl with a long black
ponytail, a jean jacket, the shortest vinyl shorts in the world, platform
boots and fishnets with seams in the backs. Usagi is admiring herself on her
magic cell phone she has taken out. ‘Usagi-chan, what are you doing?’
‘This girl we passed by earlier was so cool,’ she smiles. She has a cross
with necklace around her neck. In the heart of the cell phone, we see a
picture of her and she presses the button and we see the lady on the street.
“This thing is awesome! It let’s me change into anything!’ She says as
she opens up the flaps of her jacket.
She skips over to the karaoke machine, as Luna groans ‘Usagi-chan,
we’re not here to play!’ She turns it on and we see a soccer ball on the
monitor. ‘I know. But I’m not very good with difficult ideas.’ Luna
grumbles. ‘Anyways, our enemy is collecting human energy into evil
energy.’ Usagi is singing along. ‘Right now, it is your duty as a Sailor
Senshi to protect the people of this town...’ Suddenly Usagi stops, cries
out and an echo resonating. Luna says going back and forth, “Wh- what is
it?” Usagi looks through her bag and dumps out of her things out of her bag
on the table. A big pink clothed lunch rolls down the table. ‘I forgot that
I have a test tomorrow!!’ Luna pops away. Usagi shuffles through the things.
Luna crawls on the table sadly, ‘I’ve got to find the other senshi
soon…’ She moans. We hear Usagi say, “What will I do… I can’t
remember all of this…” Luna puts her head down.
Cut to Usagi’s school, now to another exterior that looks like it did in
the anime. It is the next day and Usagi and Naru are in a crowd of students
looking at the test results rankings. Usagi says, “Wow Naru, you are number
15!” “I was just lucky,” Naru says modestly with her arms behind her.
“Still better than me,” Usagi says miserably. She crouches down to the
ground with her head down, “My mom’s going to yell at me…” She pouts
as Naru lowers down next to her with her left hand on Usagi’s back. ‘But
look at number one,’ Naru says. ‘The genius of our class.’ ‘Oh, yeah,
Mizuno-san… she’s so incredible,’ Usagi says in awe. Naru looks left and
stands up. Ami is looking at the scores, a bit apart from the other students.
Usagi notices, ‘but she doesn’t seem very happy about it.’ ‘Of course
she doesn’t,’ a girl says. Usagi turns. Two girls (Momoko Kimura and
Kanami Abe, don’t know which one is which, so didn’t name them)
hand-in-hand come next to Naru. The shortest says, ‘She’s always been
first.’ Naru turns to them. The tallest says, ‘All she does is study.’
Usagi is still listening from below. ‘Doesn’t she go to Alt Seminar, too?
That really famous one,’ Naru says (I think).
‘I bet she’s not interested in having friends and stuff,” the
smallest says. The tallest nods. Usagi gets up and says pointing, ‘What
about them?’ We hear another girl ask, ‘Do you study by yourself?’ The
smallest girl pushes forth between Naru and Usagi to see. We see two girls
talking with Ami. ‘Let’s study together,’ the girl to the left (who
spoke before) says. The girl closest to Ami walks around her to her other side
says, ‘please.’ We see shocked Naru, small big, tall girl and
not-agreeing-with-them Usagi. Small cocky girl says, ‘Them? Mizuno’s mom
is a famous doctor. That’s why they’re trying to get close to her.’ We
see Ami excusing herself and walking away as shorty continues, ‘You can’t
just go up to her.’ Someone
else says off screen, ‘What would you say to her?’ ‘She probably
doesn’t want to talk to us either,” shorty says. ‘Stop it, she’ll hear
you,’ Usagi warns. ‘But… she’s so smart she’s worlds about from
me.’ We stay on a close-up of Usagi.
Lunchtime at school, we see a tiny fork in Usagi’s hand pick into larger
girl’s food. Usagi hums the “Jaws” theme. She stole her food. Large girl
stands up and looks around at the cunning bunny. They sit down again.
Meanwhile, Ami, who is sitting alone, an almost tearful expression on her
face, puts down her book, takes her lunch with her book in hand and leaves the
classroom. A concerned Usagi watches her go.
Then outside by the fence, Ami sits eats her lunch alone in the gray dreary
weather as she reads a book. She looks up, snacking, ponders and then goes
back to her book of complicated math. We see her lunch is store-bought
sandwiches and starbucks-like coffee. We see a full shot where Ami is, on a
green elevation, sitting on one of four green blocks (the second from the
right). Luna scuttles in, from the left side, where the building is. Luna
steps on the elevation. ‘I thought I got a reaction other than Usagi’s.
Could it be…?’ Her crescent moon glows blue. We see the outside of Tenth
Junior High, the green gate open. Ami passes by.
We the brick bridge where Luna fell on Usagi on the first episode. Ami is
walking on it. She stops. She sees the stuffed Luna laid on the ground. Wind
blows. She looks around to see if there’s anyone around. We then see Usagi
says goodbye to Naru, and makes her way over the bridge. She sees Ami crouched
down to Luna. Usagi murmurs, ‘Luna?’ Usagi ponders, ‘Why is she…?’
Ami asks Luna, ‘Did your owner lose you?’ She picks it up, and brushes it
off. ‘That’s too bad.’ We see Usagi see Ami take it to the ledge. Ami
dusts of the ledge and puts the doll on it. She crouches down to near eye
level with the toy, ‘Yes. There you go. I’m sure your owner will come to
pick you up if you sit here.’ She ends it with a smile. Usagi interrupts the
tender moment with ‘Mizuno-san! Thanks. That’s mine.’ Ami puts her head
down and readjusts her bag strap with her right hand. “Oh… I found it on
the ground.’ She turns and walks off. Usagi runs to the doll and grabs it.
Usagi walks behind Ami with a smile. ‘Mizuno-san! You’re so nice to
stuffed animals.’ Ami in a very [Amy Acker (Fred) from ‘Angel’]
embarrassed kinky smile, ‘Well she was a stranger.’ Usagi looks down at
Luna in an odd speech pattern, ‘Stranger?’ She skips in front of Ami with
a huge grin. ‘Mizuno-san, you sure are interesting!’ Ami looks down,
closing her eyes in a sort of dissatisfaction.
Then we see a montage of Usagi talking Ami’s ear off, as she is
uncomfortable yet inviting. They are in a crowd. This slow romantic music
plays. Usagi skips around Ami who she mostly ignores her and looks away. Then
Ami stops and says, ‘Well… I have o go to my seminar…” Usagi nods and
waves. Ami walks away and pauses in front of a shop where they are playing the
song ‘C’est la Vie’. Tilt up a poster of Aino Minako, you notice her big
butt. Usagi follows her and asks happily, ‘Do you like Aino Minako?’ ‘I
never have imagined,’ she said in the silence. ‘I love her, too! Isn’t
she great?’ Ami tries to brush off Usagi’s enthusiasm, saying, ‘Her
voice helps me learn.’ ‘Learn? We like her for totally different
reasons,” Usagi says scratching her head. Then says, “Oh! Have you bought
her second album yet?’ Ami shakes her head. Usagi unzips her bag and takes
her MD copy out. Ami has her hand out because of her bag. ‘Here! I’ve
already copied it, so you can borrow it Ami-chan!’ She gives it to her.
Ami’s eyes go up and down. Usagi grabs Ami’s right arm and puts the MD in
her hand. ‘Call me, Usagi!’ The MD says ‘Venus’ on it. Not
surprisingly, the MD is pink. ‘Bye,’ Ami says as she puts her head down,
turns around and walks off. Usagi says, ‘See you tomorrow. Let’s have
lunch together sometime!’ Ami turns her head. Ami smiles as she walks away.
‘She’s not at all like everyone says,’ Usagi tells Luna ‘She’s
fun, I think she’s just a normal girl.’ Luna says, ‘she’s not
normal.’ Luna jumps down from her arms. Usagi asks why. ‘She’s maybe a
senshi,’ Luna says. She turns around, facing Usagi with her moon glowing
blue and says, ‘We’ve found the second one!’ Luna is excited. Usagi
says, ‘really?’ Usagi smiles and looks up.
Cut the building where the Alt Seminar is being held. Sliding doors open and
Ami, in regular clothes walks in. She walks in a baize dress and dorky shoes.
‘Mizuno!’ Ami stops. The Alt Seminar teacher walks up to her. ‘You got
top score on the last exam!’ Ami doesn’t seem happy. ‘At this rate,
you’ll be set for not just for high school exams but for college as well.’
A boy notices Ami and taps another boy. They are in awe. Ami responds,
‘Except I’m trying to become a doctor.’ They get on the escalator. The
teacher races up the moving steps in front of Ami and says in glee,
‘That’s okay but why do you want to be a doctor so badly?’ ‘It’s
what my mother wants me to do. I want to make my mother happy,’ Ami
explains. The teacher sighs and says, ‘You’re a good girl.’
They almost reach the top with the escalator. Ami pulls her arm to open her
felt bag as she says, ‘Besides, studying is the only thing I’m good at.’
She pulls out the MD. She remembers Usagi’s voice, ‘Let’s have lunch
together sometime!’ Ami clutches the MD close to her heart as she goes up
the escalator.
Pan up the back of the Tsukino house that night. ‘I’m so lucky that
Ami’s a senshi,’ Usagi says her big pink pillow to her chest pacing in
front of the bed sat Luna. ‘She’s smart, she’s a fan of Minako Aino, and
she’s cute!’ Luna snaps, ‘Well, intelligence is our weak point right
now.’ Usagi’s pillow falls on top of Luna. The lights go off. ‘I can’t
wait to tell Ami-chan! I’m going to sleep!’ She pulls up her covers and
closes her eyes. Luna struggles out under the pillow. She gets out and goes,
‘bluh-bluh.’ She sighs and says, ‘Usagi-chan… can’t you take
anything seriously?’
Ami walks out of the seminar listening to Usagi’s MD. We see an art
display in the building where kids are all walking. They dissolve and it
becomes night. We slowly zoom in to a clay statue. Jadeite walks to it. We see
a statue of a soldier and a dog on an art block. Jadeite places the brown
crystal next to the two statues. It glows purple and the two statues warp. We
see the cram school teacher on a floor reflection going down the escalator.
She hears a noise and turns around. She is shocked. The youma walks down.
“Stay away!” The youma roars. The dog passes by.
The next day outside of school, Ami walks with lunch in her hand and brings it
up to her arms. She puts it back to her side with a smile across her face.
Usagi runs over, trying to catch her yelling her name, ‘Ami-chan!’ Ami
turns around with a happy squeal. ‘Oh, here…’ Ami says but is
interrupted. Usagi grabs both her arms. ‘I was excited I ran all the way
here. Come with me!’ Usagi pulls Ami over. We see kids in the hall.
Ami and Usagi stand together on a staircase of the school. Ami looks at her
with wide eyes, ‘What? Me?’ Usagi nods. ‘Right! Both you and I are
chosen senshi!’ (By the way with the ‘senshi’ she does the pose of both
arms folded, knuckles, and elbows push down) Usagi claps her hands on Ami’s
shoulders. ‘So let’s fight together!’ Her smile stays. ‘Luna, the cat,
will bring you an item that will let you transform and then Bam! You
transform!’ Ami thinks. Sad music plays. Usagi turns to her. Usagi notices,
‘What’s wrong, Ami?’ Ami pouts in her lips in all sincerity. ‘I
see,’ Ami says. ‘Tsukino… You tried to be my friend because I’m a
senshi.’ She almost drops a white box she is carrying. Usagi is unaware of
this and is concerned, ‘What are you talking about?’ Ami gently says, ‘I
don’t want to be a senshi.’ Usagi is astonished. ‘I’m busy with
studying, and I have Cram School and stuff,’ Ami says barely moving. She
runs off up the stairs. Usagi kind of goes after her, ‘Wait, Ami!’ Usagi
stops. Zoom out.
We see boys run in the hallway. It’s lunch. Usagi is sitting in a square
with her friends Naru, Momoko, and Kanami. Usagi looks back, gazing sadly at
Ami’s empty seat. Outside, Ami is eating alone sitting on a green cube by
the fence outside again. The camera zooms to a white box on a green cube next
to her. Close up of her opening the white box, fancy custards are inside that
she had obviously bought to eat with Usagi. Cut to shot (that is framed oddly)
that has Ami (head to waist) to the left bottom corner; the rest is the gray
sky. She sighs, ‘I’m used to it…’ She sets down the opened box.
Usagi walks into her room. ‘I’m so disappointed.’ Her black bag slips
down to the floor next to her desk. She pulls back her chair. ‘Just when I
thought I would get to fight together with Ami-chan…’ She tucks in her
skirt with her hands. She puts her elbows on her desk and pouts. Luna says,
‘I’ll try to convince her.’ Usagi turns to Luna, ‘She says she
doesn’t want to, so we shouldn’t force her.’ Luna jumps down from
clothes cabinet to a flat pyramid stool. ‘But it’s her destiny to fight as
a senshi.’ She plops to the short table. ‘We don’t have a replacement,
so we have to make her a senshi.’ Usagi moves her legs out of the chair
toward Luna. ‘It’s too cruel to force her to do it,’ she steps up and
walks toward the door. ‘I’m against it!’ She is about to open the door
to storm out and the door opens itself.
It is Ikuko-mama. She is wearing a white t-shirt with red under and jeans,
looking like a teenager. She cutely lowers her head, raises her arm with a
card in her hand. ‘Here.’ Her bewildering daughter looks close to the
card. ‘Huh?’ Ikuko-mama looks up. We see the map before Ikuko-mama takes
over a close-up and coyly says, ‘a map to your seminar (cram school).’
Then she is sincere, ‘I’m worried about your grades. I’ve already
registered you for it, so start going there today.’ Usagi frowns, her eyes
widened and she whines. ‘You don’t have the right to complain until you
get better grades.’ Ikuko-mama firmly pushes the map further.
Meanwhile, Ami is in class at cram school. The students are attentive.
‘First, find the location of the triangle formed by lines 1, 2, and 3 on the
x-y coordinate plane,’ the teacher says. Ami gazes at Usagi’s MD. She
places it in her MD player. ‘And then determine the coordinate of its apex,
and label it on your graph.’ The teacher speaks in a microphone.
‘Mina-san, pay close attention to what I’m about to say.’ Everyone looks
up. A crystallizing sound is heard. ‘The apex is…’ her voice then
echoes. A light flashes around her of the clay youma. We hear a deep voice
groan. The kids are getting sleepy. Ami is blissfully listening to Minako’s
song. She is unaffected, she looks up and around with her eyes.
Outside, Usagi pauses on a bridge, looks at the building where Ami is, and
looks at her map again. She is wearing a red shirt with white collar, her
shirt says ‘daisy girls’, grey skirt, red socks with white dots and has a
bag made out of jean. ‘Alt seminar…’ ‘That’s the seminar where Ami
is,’ Luna says in Usagi’s arm. ‘It’s the perfect opportunity to try to
convince her!’ She moves the map, turns and walks, scolding her tummy,
‘I’m not going to do that.’ ‘Usagi-chan,’ Luna pleads her. ‘I said
no!’ Usagi says firmly. Of course, her head is down and she bumps into none
other than Mamoru. He is wearing a black shirt, gray dress shirt with white
dots, khaki pants, baize shoes and his necklace. She is flipped around. There
is a flash back of their first meeting from last episode. He catches his
breath himself. Mamoru says, ‘Model wannabe, Watch where you’re going!’
She looks insulted, ‘Right back at you.’ She turns away. Mamoru picks up
her map, which she has dropped. ‘Hey.’ ‘What?’, she turns around.
‘It’s not over there. It’s over there,’ he says. She turns around. She
runs over to him. They look at the map. In one direction is the Alt seminar.
In the other, is ‘Moby’s Happy & Fun Bukkoke Shower Learning
Center.’ She grabs the map off his hands and moves closer to the building.
He smirks. She says in astonishment, ‘It’s this one?’ She looks up and
adds, ‘Mom, how could you?’ He leans over to her and says, ‘Perfect
place for you.’ Before she can respond, he walks off. She then says, ‘He
mocked me! I’m so angry!’ Luna comments, ‘It was stupid of me to think
Usagi could study at the same place as Ami-chan…’ She puts her head down.
Usagi snaps, ‘What did you say?’ Luna hears something and her moon glows
red. ‘Usagi-chan!’ The urgency has reached to Usagi who peers at the Alt
Seminar building.
Inside Ami’s classroom all the students except Ami have fallen asleep.
Ami looks around. ‘What going around?’ The teacher snatches the MD player
out of her ears. ‘You can’t listen to this stuff like this during
class.’ Ami stands up and says, ‘Teacher!’ She blushes and says,
‘That’s…’ The teacher in an eerie smile rounds up the earphones and
drops the MD player on the ground. Usagi’s MD falls out. Ami is astounded.
Teahcer says, ‘What a bad girl… I’ll guess I’ll drain the energy out
of you first.’ In the reflection from Ami’s glasses, we see the teacher
become the Youma. She runs off. The Youma runs after her. Ami is about to go
up the stairs but decides to go down. Students are sleeping on the stairs. She
ducks and the Youma trips down the stairs onto the floor. The unconscious form
of the teacher falls out of it. Ami sees this, ‘How horrible. It was using
my teacher!’ She runs off. The youma gets up, walks up the stairs and starts
chases her again. We see Usagi on the bridge running. It seems she is around
the same place where Ami is, she sees Ami running from the Youma on the other
side. Ami falls down. Usagi concerned says, ‘Ami-chan!’ Luna calls her
name and drops down. Usagi nods. Usagi transforms. “Moon Prism Power!”
The distressed Ami backs up to the glass railing. The youma reaches out his
hand and roars. ‘Hold it right
there!’ Sailormoon yells. She comes from the corner. She grabs her tiara and
it glows. She does ‘Moon tiara boomerang!’ It hits the Youma and it knocks
it to a column but it glows circles around the youma, yet no effect. The youma
pushes Ami over the railing along with it. Sailor Moon calls out her name. Ami
screams as she falls towards the floor.
Usagi jumps over the railing, and catching Ami, holding on the ledge with one
hand. The youma falls to the ground and shatters. Ami catches her breath and
looks down for a moment. ‘Ami-chan, are you ok?’ Sailormoon asks, as they
dangle off the ledge. Ami looks up at her. ‘Is that you…Tsukino-san?’
Ami asks. Usagi nods. They hear barking. The dog youma is walking over to the
broken pieces. Ami sees this. The dog lets go a laser and revives the broken
youma. It was laid down; it sits up, and gets up, looking up at the girls.
The girls slip another inch. ‘That’s it…’ Ami says.
‘Tsukino-san…make me a senshi.’ Usagi, not expecting this, looks down at
Ami. ‘That way…’, Ami says. ‘No…’ Usagi says. Ami’s face becomes
grave. ‘I can’t let you do something you don’t want to!’ Ami
understands this, ‘Tsukino-san...’
Usagi smiles, ‘It’s okay. I’ll take care of this.’ She tries without
success to pull herself up over the railing. The two youma are getting closer.
Ami sees them and gasps softly. Usagi struggles. ‘Just a little more,’
Usagi says. ‘I do want to do it,’ Ami reveals. Usagi looks back at Ami.
‘I want to fight with you, Tsukino-san!’ ‘Ami-chan!’ Usagi looks at
her, surprised. Ami gulps and nods.
Luna walks over. ‘Ami-chan! Here, catch!’ Luna’s crescent moon glows
yellow, and a transformation bracelet appears on Ami’s arm in a flash of
blue light. Ami’s hand slips out of Sailor Moon’s hand. Ami starts to fall
and does her transformation pose. ‘Mercury Power!’ The blue light blinds
the Youma. Mid-air, she transforms.
We see the transformation watch on her left arm and then her blue-painted
nails on her right hand. She is in a sleeveless top and we see her black hair
and glasses. She passes her hand by her face and her hair becomes blue. She
then says ‘Makeup!’ Her earrings appear and she spins around. Water
circles surround her and a swirl comes around her as well. The astrology
circle appears around her. Her feet go down and she makes her boots appear. A
swirl of water comes behind her. Her whole outfit comes up and she swirls
liquid around her. She makes her tiara appear. She poses. Behind her, a
droplet of water drops.
She lands gracefully in the fountain. A gush of water behind her. Sailor Moon
is astonished. ‘I’m the soldier of water and knowledge, Sailor Mercury!
I’ll punish you in the name of mercury!’ A tidal wave comes behind her and
the Mercury symbol appears.
Sailormoon drops down, rushes over to Mercury and they clasp hands.
‘Ami-chan!’ The dog jumps down and growls. They get ready. The main Youma
comes up behind them. ‘Ami-chan! We’ll fight them together!’ Ami nods.
The two youma come forward to them. They split, both twirl around and in
effect, the two youma hit each other. They both nod, twirl around the two
youma, surrounding them. Sailor Moon avoids the Youma by jumping. Sailormoon
brings out her Moon Stick, and does a new attack ‘Moon Twilight Flash!’
and dusts the first youma. It has gold light and then disintegrates. Mercury
spins around and avoids the dog’s attack. She takes a glance at it as it
hits a column. Mercury stands up. Her watch gleams. ‘Mercury Aqua Beam!’
The harp symbol appears behind her. She twirls around and liquid surround her.
She channels it and it comes out like soap bubbles. It surround the dog, it
glows and suds out. ‘We did it!’ Sailormoon grins. Mercury grins back.
Moon then becomes serious, ‘But…are you sure about with this?’ Sailor
Mercury smiles and nods. ‘I don’t know how to put this…. but it’s not
because I’m a senshi or anything…but because I wanted to fight with
you.’ Usagi brings her arms to her bow. ‘Me too! I want to become friends
with you, not because you were a senshi, but because you were Ami-chan!’
Mercury is flattered. ‘Thank you!’ Sailormoon grins back at her.
Zoom down to Tuxedo Kamen, who watched the whole thing from the floor above.
‘Sailormoon…and Sailor Mercury, huh….’ He muses in an evil sounding
voice.
Amber leaves blow in a forest. A clump of leaves is made. Jadeite buries a
crystal under the dead leaves outside. He gets up and says, ‘I will get the
best energy next time!’ The crystal glows ominously as the time changes. The
leaves blow in front of him. Inside the Hikawa shrine, a young priestess (Rei)
sits praying in front of the sacred fire. ‘It’s coming,’ she says. Her
feet hug each other in her priestess slippers. ‘Something serious is
coming,’ she states. We look into the fire and the moon cycle stages
surround the screen.
