So
sleepy. |
Both
HICBC and Toei
previews for Act 49. If you read yesterday's update, the HICBC part (at the
top) is new, and there is some more new from Toei at the bottom. I'll mark
it so you know where to scroll down to. First HICBC:
Sailor Moon, sword in hand, pierced Endymion, who had fused with
Metaria! However, becoming cognizant of the fact that she had killed
Endymion, Sailor Moon is shocked to excess, transforming into Princess
Sailor Moon, and all hell breaks loose! [Literally: and makes it as though
the planet and everything will come to an end.]
Is the past actually going to reoccur?! It's Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon's
shocking finale!
Toei top left:
To save the planet, Sailor Moon killed Endymion. "Endymion...
I've
killed him. Endymion's.... dead!"
And with that, the power of the Legendary Silver Crystal was flung open. The
last day has...
finally approached!
Top right box:
Under the grip of Beryl's spell, Endymion took Metaria's powers into his
body. Mamoru comes to the resolution that he has no choice but to perform a
double-suicide with Metaria.
"I WON'T let this planet be destroyed!" Mamoru fulfilled his promise, and
sacrificed his life. "Mamoru.... the two of us... from the start...."
Their previous lives' tragedy is repeating. And Ami declares: "I've got to
stop it.... Even if I have to fight Usagi!"
Box below with the
new opening pictures:
Doing it all again - From Act 48
With Minako's death, the
opening to Act 48 was changed! There will not be an opening used in the
final act, thus the one you saw in Act 48 was a special one-shot deal.
Supervisor Suzumura was really hung up on it.
We had to return to the settings from one year ago, line up two monitors,
and play the old opening while taking shots. When we looked it over and
compared them, all the staff were really surprised, saying, "The've
changed so much!" We were able to see instantaneously just how much the
girls had grown in the year since the start of filming.
And everyone was really happy!
"Uselessness"
Minako's Komatsu-san was actually at the set (on stand-by for the Venus
portrait-o-death shots) and may or may not have said, "Its not fair
everyone! Supervisor you're meaan."
This part of the page
is new in today's update:
Box with
Mamoru:
"It's hard being a guy" -- From Act 48
Speaking of one-shot stories, the Dark Endymion garment was also used just
for one episode. Having put all of his heart and soul into making the
clothing, the design department's Takeda-san was speechless when he found
out it'd be used "just for one episode." "I thought it'd be used for two
months, like Darkury's costume..." Well, he didn't exactly say that,
but we could hear his heart thinking it.
It was even more painful for Shibue-san. With no ventilation in the Endymion
costume, the heat kept going higher and higher! On the chest, just as you
saw yourself in the show, there was an illuminated red decoration. [Which I
guess added to the heat?] Even though wearing it was almost like an
instrument of torture, despite the intense heat, he didn't utter one
complaint, and performed with zeal.
"The color timer is already red, are you
okay?" It's hard to tell whether the staff who said this were teasing him or
actually concerned. [Kenji tells me the color timer is an Ultraman
reference.]
No matter how tough the circumstances got, we were
sure Shibue-san could absolutely carry it through. We completely trust
Shibue-san's 'guts' and acting strength. Otherwise we wouldn't have made him
put on such costume, nor made him say the phrases like "I AM THE KING OF THE
EARTH!", which seems impossible as the one a man utters (if you only hear
the literal meaning of the phrase).
When it comes to this cast and this staff, it seems like they can pull off
anything! This is what it feels like after one year with the "Sailor Moon"
team.
Thanks Kenji for corrections in this part.
Foreboding final box:
An entire year has passed for "Sailor Moon" and at last we are at the "Final
Act." Everything is going heat up more and more! Maybe too much; I think I
want to save the craziness of the final shoot until after the last episode's
broadcast. Ahh, where will the "Sailor" team go now?!
Thus, (although we didn't re-update after Act 47) this page will keep doing
updates even after the final act airs.
And I guess so will we.
