I've got a nice treat for you today, a translation of the latest
Naoko-hime no Oheya or
Naoko's Room
update from the Sailor Moon Channel website. It's from July but that's what I
get for not looking there for a while. She's still referring to herself as
Princess instead of "I," but it sounds even dumber in English than it does in
Japanese, so I've changed it to "I."

Hello! It's summer vacation!
This year I have huge plans to spend my summer hiking in Switzerland, beetle
collecting, fishing for crayfish, watching fireworks, and eating nagashi soumen.
[A type of long noodle.] Also, Toki*Meka Volume 1 will be on sale on 8/23. There
have been a ton of corrections and improvements made, a post-script page, and,
why, even a Prince-sama page!? Will there be even more to look forward to? And I
hear a super glittery cover! Be sure you buy it!
Next up. Finally, in October, my first picture book is released! I was in charge
of sentences, and prince was in charge of the drawings. It's got a different
taste from manga, a warm and fuzzy book about a mysterious being. For those who
love picture books, and those who have young children, I'd be delighted if you
even just looked at it. The release date is 10/23. It's published by Kodansha.
More details will be in a flyer with Toki*Meka volume 1.
This was a rare announcement of a ton of work. Well anyway, I wish you all a
good summer vacation.
I get the feeling the picture book is going to be kinda weird
(her kid did the drawing...), but I'd like to support her, so I'll be picking it
up when I'm in Tokyo and will report to you on what it's like.
