The HICBC preview and the
partial Toei
preview for Act 43. No picture at the HICBC preview yet. HICBC first:
A life-taking stone has been implanted into Mamoru's
body) by virtue of Queen Beryl's trap. The more he loves Usagi,
the closer he creeps to death.
Knowing this, Usagi's anger rises. And with that Usagi changes...
Having realized this change, Mamoru is determined to
meet Usagi, regardless of the stone's existence within himself.
His grace period is until sunset, and if he doesn't return Queen Beryl will
take his life.
Toei top left:
The power of the Ginzuishou and the power of Metaria continue to grow ever
larger. To calm Usagi, Mamoru requests to be released for just one day
but...
Toei top right box:
"If the princess takes Endymion's heart, I will take his life..."
Knowing that she is unable to capture Mamoru's heart, Beryl, finally, has
taken control of his very life! Now even Usagi can no
longer keep saying, "I believe in Mamoru."
And with that the princess even declares, "I don't
need a planet without Endymion!"
Where will these two women's (respective) love, which has crossed time and
the stars, go toward? And how will Mamoru react to a love this strong?
Box below with Sailor Moon and her sword:
The Princess and Usagi.
Like a split personality, they are two spirits living in one body. But as we
caught a glimpse of in Act 42, the Princess really has Usagi inside of her.
If that's the case, has Usagi also...
As their past and present lives toss back and forth, Usagi and Mamoru,
Minako/Makoto/Rei/Kunzite/Zoisite, everyone is holding their own individual
theme toward the story's end!
PMoon on a crane:
From Act 42- Where are the senshi?
Princess Sailor Moon casually rings her harp for Mercury and Luna.
While she floats in the air... where the heck is she??
Why, on top of a large crane! She's 10 meters of the ground. While fighting
she can somehow take on explosions, and while playing her harp, be lifted in
height.
The mysterious new move, Mercury Aqua Storm. While it would seem to be
filmed normally...
It was actually done on top of a plank! The plank was a foothold made to
roll well on gravel. While this may seem to be a 'no problem' take, it was
meant to appear that way.
Box below with the figurines:
A large thing will serve for a small one
At the shooting site, both the filming studio and
location site, these figures are always around. To make them appear as realistically close to the cast's
bodies as possible, the molding team even came to the late night shoots and
made these 3D-scanned gems.
This pose we filmed!
This pose... we didn't film!
Michael-san at the vehicle department's pictures were interesting.
Last box:
Bari bari bari bari... (It's the
onomatopeia of helicopter noise.)
"In Act 42, because we couldn't find a place to insert the helicopter, we
had a lot of trouble" said supervisor Takemitsu.
To produce a balance between the recording and after-recording, or as
effects for the direction, the helicopter noises had been inserted [in the
after-recording] about twice, and then the supervisor was teased by the
staff again and again, "Supervisor Takemitsu are you a helicoper-lover?" and
so on.
"If you're saying that much, we shall definitely insert the helicopter!" and
with that he seems to have conspired with Nishikori-san at SFX. [Thanks
kenji for clearing this up!]
Having played around, "Sailor Moon" makers supervisor Takemitsu and
cameraman Kamibayashi graduate the program.
From now on these kind of exits will just continue each time.
Thanks kenji!
League is filled now, sorry
It's that time of year again! No, the Jerry Lewis telethon isn't for
another month. I'm talking football. While the NFL season won't start for a
little while longer, the fantasy football leagues are up and running and the
smell of pigskin is in the air.
Last year we had a Sailor Moon-themed fantasy football league that was a
lot of fun, and I'm running it once again this year. If you're interested,
you're welcome to join. Note, though, that I and the rest of the league
players expect you to keep up with this every week. If you don't plan on
making sure your team is all set each week, don't sign up.

It's a 12-slot league and 9 slots are currently taken so if you're
interested in joining I'd recommend doing so now.
I said it last year and I'll say it again this year- my team, Tuxedo
Knights, is the team to beat. See you there!
