Live Action Sailor Moon update (Full preview for Act 37)

DO YOU SEE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU DON'T PUT UP A PREVIEW PIC, HICBC? THEY GET CONFUSED.

Then they get angry.

Hey hey hey, it's the HICBC preview and the Toei preview for Act 37. There is currently no preview pic available at the HICBC page. Ooooooh lazy HICBC webmaster bad!!

Usagi, having lost Chiba Mamoru to Queen Beryl, must suppress her feelings of concern for him and believe in his return. And while Luna wasn't looking, Usagi disappeared! Since the last thing Luna had heard was a harp's note, Usagi must be in her Princess form. Relying on this note, the senshi begin their search for the Princess.

Meanwhile Mamoru, taken to the Dark Kingdom, faces his retainers from his previous existence, the Shitennou.

Now Toei. As always I recommend opening up the page to read alongside the pictures. There are now even more nifty pictures on the side.

Top left:

Endymion...

With this single word, Usagi has disappeared.
Wait, could it be that she is not Usagi?
The five senshi are looking for Usagi but...

On the right, top:

"She's not... Usagi!"

"She's the princess! Princess Serenity..."

Because of the shock of Mamoru's capture, Usagi fully awakened as the princess.

However, as the successor to the throne the extent of the power enough to control the planet is beyond the imaginations of the senshi and Mamoru, not to mention [exceeding] Queen Beryl['s power].

And Mamoru, who fell into Beryl's hands, is...

Box below that has a photo of a confident Princess Sailor Moon:

And so Princess Sailor Moon has appeared!

She certainly seemed like she was an "explosive birth" but she was only responding to an enemy's attack in episode 36, and she's only shown a portion of her powers.

For that matter, she doesn't seem the same lovely Serenity who showed a face free from worries toward her beloved Endymion, does she?

Her love has been long forbidden, and their grand love was to the extent that the fate of their planet had been rocked to destruction.
Far from mourning this (destruction), she's someone who decided to seek fulfillment (of their love) via reincarnation.  How much of a severe soul is she the owner of?

Myu fans, sing it with me! Fire! Fire! Fire!

Box below that has pictures of stuff blowing up!!

Neat." "Graceful." "Aromatic." "High class." The Princess could be spoken of in these kinds of words.

One word phrases. One look. Walking step by step.
Everything of these have to be enough that her friends come to the conclusion that "She isn't Usagi!"
And also it have to be enough to make even Beryl-sama wince.

It was quite a challenge to Sawai Miyuu's acting skills. In order to play the princess, she had to change all her [body] controls, from the way she spoke to her poise.

In the shadows and in the sunlight, Miyuu-san kept up with this great effort.

And... who was there was neither Sawai Miyuu nor Tsukino Usagi, but very much "Princess Sailor Moon."

Furthermore, in act 36 there was the big "First Napalm!" event, but it was so "big event" that we can't have all the details in this space.

We're creating a special report corner, please wait a little bit.

It's actually gasoline, not napalm, although that's the word they use. The special report is currently up, below the preview. I don't have time to translate it today.

Box below that has a picture of a fellow in a sound booth (it looks like) with the caption: Personally conducting the orchestra is Ooshima-san's style.

For Princess Sailor Moon (on location referred to as "P-Moon")'s appearance, we recorded the BGM (with orchestra) for the third time.

The reason why we record them divided into several times is because we ask Ooshima-san to write the music to follow the series' developments. Producer Maruyama at Toei said, "Ooshima-san's BGM variation will definitely be a hint toward that last story."

For part one there was a lot of very cute, whimsical music.
For part two (around act 12) it was dramatic.
And this time, shouldering Act 36...

it's magnificent!

That last box with Miyuu has some very confusing statements:

Since from now on there are developments that I can hardly express, it's very awkward to write "preview [advance notice]", not to mention that spoilers and so on are out of the question.

No matter what happens, we'll always try to Sailor Moon "bright and fun" on the other hand as much as possible, so please keep watching!

Kenji tried to summarize what the writer wrote for the top sentence, the bottom is mine. Many, many thank you's to kenji for giving this a good looking over!

While all the questions in our anniversary trivia have been answered (except for the bonus question as to who runs the Toei page), there's one more chance this month to win a free forums account. Yinggirl put up a new MS Paint thread, and just like last time, I'm welcoming entries from the general readership. Take a look at what the paint challenge is this time, follow the directions, and e-mail us your entries. The deadline is 3-4 days from now. When it's passed, I'll put up the entries in the forums for members to vote on, and the winner will get a free account. You can enter as many times as you'd like, and all entries will be featured in the MS Paint article on the front page.
