It's time for the thirty-fifth episode synopsis! A HUGE, MEGA, ULTRA, SUPER, GIGANTIC, MAGNIFICENT THANK YOU!! to Hoshiko and Kenji this week for preparing this synopsis of Act 35 of the live action series! Hontou ni hontou ni domo arigato gozaimasu!

Act 35

Mamoru is speeding along on his bike when in front of him, a girl steps into the road and collapses. Mamoru hastily stops his bike and runs to the girl. "Hey! Are you okay? Hey! Hey!" The girl is Mio. "Hang in there! Hey! Hey!" Sirens can be heard in the background.

The evening sun colors the sky orange. Usagi sets a neatly folded outfit on her table. Luna makes a questioning noise. "Usagi, it's still evening," she informs Usagi, who's already dressed in her pajamas. "But, tomorrow I have to go buy tickets for Aino Minako's Live Concert," Usagi explains, "It's a limited sale through the ticket window, so if I don't go early, they'll sell out." "You're going with Chiba Mamoru, aren't you," says Luna. Usagi grins and laughs girlishly. "Geez..." complains Luna, "even though the Princess and Prince had a forbidden relationship, you don't listen to me at all." Usagi frowns and kneels down to talk to Luna, "Hmm, it'd be better if you'd just approve, because we've already decided." Luna groans as Usagi heads towards her bed.

At Azabu Public Hospital, Mio lies asleep in a hospital bed. Mamoru sits next at the bedside, watching her intently. Mio's eyes open and Mamoru leans in expectantly. She looks around. "This is..." she starts questioningly. "The hospital," Mamoru informs her gently, "You suddenly collapsed on the road." "Did you rescue me?" she asks. Mamoru answers, "You fell in front of my bike, so..." "I see," Mio replies and smiles, "Thank you." She turns her head and reaches out her hand to place it on his. Mamoru looks down. Mio smiles at him, a bit of a sincere smile with a sinister touch to it. Mamoru looks at her, eyes flickering back to her hand, unsure of what to do.

Queen Beryl stands in her chambers, gazing off. "Endymion," she says out loud, "Soon, this hand will reach you." She reaches her hand out. "I won't allow the Princess to interfere."

Usagi stretches a little and then hops into bed and turns off her lamp. The full moon shines brightly behind the trees outside as she says, "Good night!" The full moon melds into the opening sequence.

OP: Gan gan kechirashitekou!

Usagi's Teletia S rings and she gets up groggily to answer it. "Hello?" Her face lights up. "Ah, yup. What happened? Huh? A girl collapsed? Why?" "They're examining her now," Mamoru tells her, "Well, it's not because she collided with my bike." Usagi yawns silently on the other end. "I think she doesn't have any injuries." Usagi rubs her face and sleepily asks, "Hmmm...Why?" Mamoru takes the receiver away from his face for a moment to look at it in surprise. "You, were you sleeping?" "Hm?" Usagi smiles. "Yeah that's right," she says, eyes closed, "the tickets for the live concert." "Anyway," says Mamoru, "it looks like her family or anyone else isn't coming, so I'm going to stay with her a bit more..." He pauses. The other side has gone quiet. "Usagi?" Usagi's sleeping, phone open next to her face and content smile on her face. Mamoru's voice can be heard calling, "Usagi? Usagi?" Realizing what happened, Mamoru lets out a short laugh. "Bye," he says, as a murmur of Usagi's can be heard. "Good night." He hangs up the phone and walks down the hospital hallways. He passes a nurse and also a room labeled "VIP Room."

Have you noticed that the Beryl "lip zoomin" occurs so much it might as well be recycled footage? It's like the Dark Kingdom version of a transformation sequence but lamer.

Inside, the VIP Room is illuminated only by the light above the long bed. Minako lies in the bed, staring at the ceiling as an IV drips slowly. "Minako," comes Artemis' voice. Minako looks down as he jumps to the foot of her bed. "Just doing these emergency treatments forever won't work," he says. "Didn't the doctors also say your condition isn't good?" Minako sits up. There's a music notebook open on her lap. "Didn't we decide it from the beginning?" she asks, "That I wouldn't use time uselessly?" Artemis sags his head, "But..." Minako goes on, a reassuring smile on her face. "We have a mission inherited from the Past, don't we." She lies back down. "It's because I'm living for that purpose. So that the Past won't be repeated." She remembers the scene she observed when Mamoru confessed to Usagi. "I don't believe it!" he declares, "I've decided that. That's why I returned. To be sure of it, together with you." He pulls her in for an embrace and says firmly, "Never! This world won't be destroyed." "They're wrong," Minako says, "I have to stop those two after all."

"Visiting hours will be over soon," a nurse announces. Mamoru and Mio both turn towards the door. "Yes," he replies and stands. Mio sits up. "Hey, will you meet me next time? I want to show my gratitude." "I don't need gratitude or anything," he tells her. "But I want to!" whines Mio, "Please! Is it no good?" She pouts. "I didn't do anything that great," he insists, "Well, take care." Grabbing his bike helmet he leaves. Mio watches him go with a dark glare on her face.

"That's right, Endymion," says Beryl, "Always, your eyes, they weren't looking at me." Her mouths twists into a smile, "From now, it will be different."

Kunzite approaches Zoisite at his piano. "Persistent, isn't she?" he says as he swaggers closer. "Dragging the thoughts that couldn't be fulfilled in our past lives to the present life." He lounges against the piano, arms crossed. "I can't laugh," replies Zoisite, "The ones who hold the Past, everyone is the same way." Kunzite muses loudly, "However, I may be able to use that." He puts a hand to his chin, stroking it in thought. "If I have Master, he'll become my trump carp against Beryl." Zoisite leaps to his feet. "Kunzite!" Kunzite just barely glances over his shoulder. "Finally, I've found the hand that can oppose her," he says and then walks away. Zoisite watches him go. "I must protect Master..." he says to himself, "However, how far I can do it alone...?"

----

Minako seems much better as she's up and walking through the hospital, Artmis tucked under one hand and small suitcase in her other. As she turns the corner, she pauses. Ahead of her, Mamoru is walking down the hall. Her eyes widen as she recognizes him. "Endymion?!" asks Artemis, "Why is he in a place like this?" Minako runs down the hall and out the entrance to the hospital. Mamoru's just putting on his helmet. He starts up his bike and as he zooms away, Minako shouts, "Wait!" She halts, though, as Zoisite steps in front of her. "You!" says Artemis. "Are even the Sailor Senshi targetting Master?" asks Zoisite, "What a nuisance." Artemis leaps from Minako's hands, allowing her to transform. "Venus Power, Make up!" Zoisite's eyes narrow at her as she goes into her spiel. "Soldier of love and beauty, Sailor Venus! In the name of Venus, I'll punish you!" The two step back from each other and Venus attacks with a "Venus Love Me Chain!" Her whip snakes out and goes right through Zoisite, whose figure disappears on contact. Venus readies her whip again and searches around. Zoisite is standing behind her, but as she turns, he moves with blinding speed to the back of her once more and wraps his arms around her, a knife held to her neck. "It won't be like the other time," he tells her. "Venus!" shouts Artemis -- at least he has the sense to not use their real names. "Don't come near our master," commands Zoisite. "Master?" repeats Venus. "You remember the Past, too?" asks Artemis. "And if I do?" replies Zoisite. "Tell your master," retorts Venus, "'Don't come near the Princess.'" "Why?" asks Zoisite. "You know, don't you?" says Venus, "The world will be destroyed." He narrows his eyes, but relaxes his grip on Venus. She spins away from him and they face each other, knife stretched out in front of him while Venus has her whip at the ready. They stand off against each other, waiting for the other to make a move. Zoisite lowers his knife, and Venus does the same with her whip, albiet more slowly. "Is that to say our thoughts are the same?" he asks, "Venus, as people each with something to protect, I have something to talk with you about."

"Geez, that Usagi!" Luna's in her girl form in the hideout at Crown, looking into her Luna mirror as she applies make up. "What time does she think it is? She went to sleep so early." Ami and Makoto are nodding to each other as Ami helps Makoto study, and Rei is reading a book about telling the fortunes of your past life. She looks up from her book and asks, "Huh? Usagi's went to sleep already?" Luna nods. "Tomorrow," she says, "she's going to buy tickets to Aino Minako's Live Concert." Makoto looks up. "Ah!" she exclaims. Both Ami and Rei look at Makoto questioningly. "She's going together with Chiba Mamoru," Luna informs her with an annoyed look. Makoto supresses her excitement and starts to gather up all her belongings. "I've been worrying over it a lot," continues Luna, "but I think Venus and Artemis won't approve of Chiba Mamoru and Usagi." Makoto pauses, notebook in hand poised to go into her bag. "You think so?" she asks. "It's because Venus is strict," says Luna. Makoto flies again into a packing frenzy as Rei speaks up, "Yeah...but I wonder why Venus is so soldier-like?" "Probably, it's because she's the one with the most memories of the Past," says Ami. "That's true," replies Rei, "but..." She frowns. Ami looks at her sympathetically as Makoto rushes out. "See ya!"

Venus and Zoisite are talking with each other outside, a large distance between them. "Once," says Zoisite, "both we and you were unable to stop Master and the Princess." "That's right," agrees Venus, "That's why there was tragedy." "We must stop the tragedy," declares Zoisite. "You're right," she says. The two look at each other, Zoisite with a cool expression and Venus with one of wariness. Zoisite looks away as he walks towards her. "Queen Beryl is targetting Master," he says, "Of course, I intend to protect him, but I can't say if I've completely separated from Beryl's hands." He walks past her and stops, "That's why, just in case, I want you to protect Master." "Me?" asks Venus. Zoisite turns around to face her. "In exchange for that," he says, "take this." He holds out his palm, and with a glow, a crystal music box appears.

A big poster with a picture of Minako in one corner proclaims, "Aino Minako's Urgent Live Concert (6/13)." Below that, on a "Minako Aino Rainbow Tour 2004 Summer" poster, it says "Sold Out." "Whaaaaat?!" whines Usagi. "You don't even have one ticket for the live concert?" she asks. The girl behind the counter politely says. "No." "Really, you don't?" Usagi asks again. The girl replies again in the same manner, "No." "Really?" Usagi demands once more. The smile drops off the ticket girl's face and she gives Usagi a look that said her patience has about run out. Usagi gets a sly grin on her face, points at the girl, and says, "You've got at least one, right?" The girl shakes her head. "We don't have any," she tells her. The grin fades from Usagi's face. "No way~!" she says in disbelief. Slowly, she turns from the counter, gives a big sigh and walks away, disappointed. She pauses to look at the ticket counter again and then sighs once more and goes on her way. As she leaves, Makoto walks in (wearing the same clothes she was wearing the night before), looking around. "Um, where is it?" she asks, then turns and spots the ticket window. "There it is!" She runs over to the other ticket lady. "Excuse me, do you have tickets for Aino Minako's Live Concert?" she asks. "We're sold out," she replies. "What?! You don't even have one?" she asks. "No." "Whaaat?!" Makoto shouts. "No! No! No!" She stomps her feet on the ground and jumps up and down. A couple passing by stop and look at her tantrum, glancing at each other. "Excuse me," says the ticket lady, "will you please keep it down?" "Uh, yes."

Usagi walks down the street, sighing and talking to herself. "Ahhhh, after all that, I thought we could see the live concert together." A van pulls up on the road alongside her. Usagi stops to look at the car. The window rolls down and Minako pokes her head out. "Usagi!" "Minako!" exclaims Usagi loudly. Minako shushes her, finger to her lips as Usagi runs up to the van. Usagi mimicks the gesture in understanding. "Get in," says Minako. She opens the door. "Hurry!" Usagi's nervous but manages to climb into the van, which pulls away. Inside, Usagi's gushing. "It's like a dream! Aino Minako spoke to me! This makes the fourth time she's talked to me!" "Sorry for dragging you away," apologizes Minako, "It seemed like I would be noticed." Usagi hurriedly insists, "No no! Not at all!" She looks around excitedly, "I can't believe I get to ride in Minako's car!" Siezing a bit of control over herself, she says, "I've got to calm down a little!" she leans agains the window, breathing deeply, but her head bobs too much and smacks against the window. "Ouch!" Minako can't help but smile at Usagi's antics, but the smile fades as she looks at the music box sitting next to her and remembers the rest of her conversation with Zoisite.

It's no "I love Chubby's" but then so few things are.

"If you play this music box, she'll forget everything about the person she thinks of the most. If she closes her heart, it won't be effective, but if it's you doing it, you can use it without making her wary."

Usagi's still freaking out a bit. "How cool!" she squeals and promptly ends up reclining the back of her seat, falling back ungracefully. Sitting up, she feels around to raise the seat back up. "Usagi," says Minako, "I wonder if you can eat lunch with me?" "Huh? No way, is it okay?" Usagi asks, then looks at her clothes, "But, what should I do? This outfit, is it if okay if it's not a dress?" "It's just a normal restaurant," assures Minako. Usagi smiles and claps her hands. "I'm so happy!" Minako smiles for a moment, but it's quickly replaced by a sad look.

At the restaurant, the two of them sit at a table, a fancy spread before them. "Wow," breathes Usagi, "for some reason, I'm nervous, and I don't know now if I'm hungry or not." "Eat slowly," urges Minako with a smile which disappears as she brings the music box to her lap. "Um," says Usagi, "I, for a long time, I've wanted to thank you, Minako." Minako looks up. "Huh, thank me?" she asks. "Well," says Usagi, "actually, there's a person I like, and things weren't going well at all. There were times when I thought 'Should I give up?' but during those times, I was encouraged by your songs." She laughs. "When I sang your songs, Minako, I cheered up and did my best. Now, things are going great, and I think it's all thanks to you, Minako!" She grins and Minako remembers watching Mamoru embrace Usagi for the first time. "Thank you very much for singing for everyone!" says Usagi, "Ah, I'm glad I could tell you!" She claps her hands together, "Itadakimasu!" [Note: It's said before eating; means "I will partake of this food."] "Wow!" Usagi sounds uncertain as she tries to figure out the utensils, "Um, this fork and this...maybe?" Artemis watches from a hiding spot. "Minako," he says sympathetically.

----

Mamoru's bike is parked by some water. He leans over his bike, but then notices someone's behind him. It's Mio, looking at him with a scary psychotic look. Mamoru turns around. "Why are you here?" he asks. Mio approaches with a smile. "Mamoru," she says, "I want to thank you. Come with me." "Didn't I say there was no need?" he says. Mio just smiles and reaches out a hand for him. She can almost touch his shoulder when Mamoru glances at her hand and slaps it away in distress. Mio looks sorrowful and begs, "Please!" She throws herself against him. "Hey!" he says, shocked, "Wait a minute!" From where's she leaning against Mamoru's chest, Mio looks up and smiles sinisterly.

In the exact same position, Beryl smiles as well.

Mio laughs, starting off with a deep throaty laugh, but quickly going into gleeful cackles as a storm of black flower petals starts to swirl around the two. Mamoru looks around at the flowers in confusion. As he does, though, a dazed look comes into his eyes.

Zoisite slams his hands discordantly on his piano keyboard. "How stupid of me!" he says, "That's Queen Beryl's shadow!" He leaps to his feet.

----

hey there evil queen lady whatcha doing.

Usagi seems to have gotten over her utensil confusion as she has a bowl of fruit in hand an a fork in the other. "Yum, it's good!" she announces. Minako's sitting stiffly at the other side of the table. It doesn't look like she's touched any of her food. "I have to do it," she thinks to herself, "Because I'm here to fulfill my mission." She starts to slowly open the cover of the music box. "Minako?" Usagi suddenly appears next to Minako, "What's wrong?" Usagi's appearance startles Minako, who drops the music box. It lands open on the floor and starts to play. "Are you okay?" asks Usagi. She pauses as she bends over the music box, the song beginning to take effect. A blank look comes into her eyes. "Princess," Minako says almost apologetically.

Mamoru's now fully dazed. Mio smiles. "This way," she says, "Come." She grabs him by the hand and leads him away.

Usagi stands frozen as the music box plays. The memory of Mamoru holding her is burned away. Suddenly, there's a disturbance that causes Minako to glance down at the music box. Zoisite's astral projection appears behind Minako, wavering unsteadily. "Zoisite," she says, turning. "Queen Beryl is taking Master Endymion," Zoisite announces. Usagi gives a little start. "Huh?" asks Minako. "Venus," says Zoisite urgently, "this was our deal. Protect Master!" "But..." Minako starts. Usagi turns then, and starts to walk away dazedly. Minako turns. "Princess, where are you going?" She grabs the music box from the floor and runs after her. Zoisite's projection disappears.

Usagi walks down the hall, still in her trance-like state. "Wait, Princess!" shouts Minako as she runs to catch up. She grabs Usagi and keeps her from moving forward any more. "I've got to go...save him..." says Usagi. Minako is shocked. "Venus!" Zoisite's unsteady projection appears again. "Now, saving Master comes first! Release the Princess." Minako regains her hold on Usagi. "What are you doing?!" demands Zoisite, "If you don't hurry, Master will...!" Minako opens the music box again. Usagi stops struggling as the music plays. "Venus!" Zoisite reaches for her, but fades away. "Princess," begs Minako quietly, "please, for the sake of the planet, forget him." All of Usagi's memories of Mamoru are being burned away -- the first time they bumped into each other at the fashion show rehearsal, the time he held her hand in the amusement park's scary house, the time Usagi shared a nikuman with him, the time he saved her from getting run over by a car, the time Usagi jokingly choked him with the muffler she made. Usagi raises her hands and reaches out, as if grasping for something. Minako watches her sadly and says, "I'm sorry."

Mio triumphantly leads a dazed Mamoru by the hand to a rooftop. She barely manages to duck as a sword comes swinging at her. Turning around, she confronts Kunzite. "Kunzite!" "I won't let you have Master," he tells her and his lips curve in a smile as he approaches her. Mio backs up with Mamoru, but she reaches the edge of the building. Kunzite raises his sword and brings it down towards them, but it's blocked by a pair of crossed crystal shards. Kunzite looks surprised at first, then amused at Jadeite whose teeth are bared in his effort to block Kunzite's sword. "Don't interfere!" Jadeite shouts. Kunzite spits back, "You little...!" He moves his sword to the left, throwing Jadeite off balance. Jadeite tries to attack Kunzite with his crystals, but his efforts are blocked and Kunzite is able to grab one of Jadeite's arms and fling him aside. Kunzite swings at Jadeite, who dodges and instead, the sword cuts Mamoru's arm.

Minako holds the music box as it plays, looking like she just wants it to be finished already. "This feeling is C'est la vie." Minako looks up at Usagi, who's quietly singing. "I'll live as myself. C'est la vie. I want to keep loving you." Minako remembers Usagi's confession to her earlier, "hen I sang your songs, Minako, I cheered up and did my best." Minako's eyes widen. Usagi continues to sing, unoblivious as she walks up to her and asks, "Do you know? That you're forgetting? Is that why you're...?" Usagi stops singing and a tear rolls down her cheek. Minako looks surprised. "You like him that much?" she asks. She looks down and drops her arm. The music box slides from her hand and shatters on the floor.

THEY'RE THE SAME PERSON TOO!!

Mamoru snaps out of his daze and a laughing Usagi springs to his mind. His eyes widen and he looks around. "Usagi?" he asks. Jadeite and Kunzite both pause as they struggle with each other to look at Mamoru in surprise. Mio looks shocked. Mamoru turns to look at them. "Did the spell get broken?" asks Kunzite. "It can't be!" says Mio. Mamoru suddenly realizes he's holding Mio's hand and jerks away with a start. Jadeite marches towards Mamoru, but a voice makes him halt. "Moon Twilight Flash!" The attack heads for all three of them. Mio teleports away with a flourish of her arm, Jadeite and Kunzite both raise their cape to shield themselves. With a flash, Sailor Moon is before them, moonlight stick in hand, and Mamoru in his Endymion armor is behind her. They step back and pose in unison. Kunzite lowers his cape and glares. "Princess!" Kunzite charges towards them and swings his sword, but Mamoru raises his own to block the blow. "Kunzite!" he says, "I don't intend on fighting you!" "What are you saying now?" demands Kunzite. Jadeite leaps towards Sailor Moon, crystal shard in hand and the two start to battle. Sailor Moon dodges his attacks easily and then grabs his arm, throws him, and then kicks him for good measure. Jadeite throws an energy blast at her, but she dodges by cartwheeling away. Kunzite forces Mamoru back by Sailor Moon and then charges up his sword. He launches his attack at the two, but Venus steps in between and blocks with a "Venus Love Me Chain," deflecting the attack back at him. Venus stands with her chain at the ready. "Venus!" says Sailor Moon. Jadeite sneaks up behind the three, and almost manages to attack with his crystal shard, but Mamoru spots him and blocks. Kunzite takes on the two sailor senshi while Jadeite and Mamoru fight with each other. Suddenly, the sky turns dark and storm clouds roll in. All five of them stop and look up at the sky. "This is..." asks Kunzite. Beryl's figure appears in the sky. "Enough!" she says, raising her hands. They're glowing with energy and Jadeite mutters a "Queen Beryl!" as he and Kunzite are teleported away. With their disappearance, the sky turns bright again.

The three look up at the now clear sky. Sailor Moon suddenly remembers and runs back to Mamoru. "Are you okay?" she asks. "Yeah," he nods. The two smile at each other. Venus approaches them. "Princess," she says, "as an apology for today, please take this." She takes Sailor Moon's hand and places and envelope in it. "Well then..." Venus turns and leaves. "I wonder what this is," Sailor Moon asks, looking at the envelope. "Isn't it tickets for the live concert?" asks Mamoru. "Tickets for the live concert you say?" She opens the envelope, and sure enough, there are tickets inside for the "Aino Minako Concert, Rainbow Tuor 2004 Summer." Sailor Moon's eyes light up. "Ah! Aino Minako's Live Concert Tickets! I'm so happy! I thought I wouldn't get them!" She pauses, "But, why did Venus have these?" "It's her own live concert, isn't it?" says Mamoru. Sailor Moon blinks and looks up at him, confused. "Huh?" Mamoru is in disbelief. "Don't tell me..." he says. "Huh?" she asks. "You didn't know? I've known since the time of Sailor V." Sailor Moon thinks and suddenly, it dawns on her. "No way!!"

"Minako! Minako! Minako!" the audience chants as one. As the music for "Romance" starts, some of the crowd gets to their feet, cheering. Streamers fall as Minako appears on stage with her back dancers. The audience claps along as she sings. "I love you, baby, baby..."

Usagi drags Mamoru up a flight of stairs. "It started already!" she despairs. "I know!" he says. "We have to hurry!" she says. "I told you to calm down," he reminds her. "Hurry up!" They reach the lobby entrance, and Usagi gets Mamoru's ticket from him, "Here." She hands them to a worker. "Here." Mamoru peers closely at a couple of Nako Nako dolls on display nearby while Usagi impatiently tells the worker, "Hurry! Hurry!" He hands the ticket stubs back to her and Usagi mutters a quick, "Thank you!" before grabbing Mamoru by the hand and dragging him inside. The enter the auditorium. "It's Minako!" exclaims Usagi. She watches the performance happily and Mamoru glances at her with a smile.

Divine punishment awaits for stealing Marina Kuroki's gig.

On stage, Minako starts to appear disoriented. She looks out into the crowd, but her vision blurs. Her singing becomes weak. "Hey! I can see hope..." she manages to sing before collapsing. The crowd erupts with worry. Usagi watches in shock. "What?" A worker runs on stage to Minako's side and waves. The crowd, including Usagi and Mamoru all look on anxiously. Even more stage hands come to Minako's side. One of them shakes her gently. "Minako! Minako!" he shouts. "What's going on?" wonders Usagi. "Minako!" she yells, "Minako! Minako!" Yell and shake as they might, though, Minako doesn't stir.

Act 36 Preview:

Sailor Moon yells, "Why is that?!"

Behind Mamoru is Queen Beryl. "Princess!" she says as Princess Serenity and Prince Endymion frolick together happily. "Say your goodbyes!" Beryl laughs evilly.

Sailor Moon looks distraught but then a steely look comes into her eyes.

Kunzite, Jadeite, Nephrite, and Zoisite square off against each other with Queen Beryl and Mamoru between them. An explosion goes off.

Sailors Moon, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, and Venus all ready themselves in unison.

Beryl has her arms outstretched as Mamoru walks into her embrace.

Endymion and Serenity lean into each other for a kiss. Serenity's voice is heard saying "Endymion." Out of an explosion stands Princess Sailor Moon.

Once again I'd like to thank Hoshiko and Kenji for doing such an incredible job week after week. The effort put into these synopses are enormous and they deserve all the credit in the world for dedicating such time and putting in so much effort. Thank you!!
