Update - Jay Navok

Live Action Sailor Moon update (Episode 22 preview)

Someday I'll find it, the rainbow connection,
and then I'll make sense of this continuity.

Double update- the Act 22 preview from the official Live Action Sailor Moon page and yesterday's Moonstruck!

Sailor Mercury is in the embrace of the enemy.

Declaring herself to be "Dark Mercury," she announces that she intends to bring down the sailor senshi. The senshi have lost their bearings, and as they review recent events they find that while everyone was acting on their own whim, Ami, knitting gloves one-at-a-time, patiently waited for all of them to be together.

Now that Ami has become evil, the senshi must fight Mercury in the name of justice. What kind of decision will the girls have to make?

Credit once again to Kenji for cleanup work.

I'd say that for this series this is probably more appropriate than what the anime did with Evil Endymion, although I think the latter is a more powerful set up. Particularly in the way it effected the last two episodes of the first season. Part of the change probably lies in the fact that anime Beryl had a thing for Endymion, while I doubt this Beryl would care.

I've also got the Miyuu diary entry from last week, which was updated at their page this week.

Sailor Moon (Feb. 23rd)

It's test season! [Practice entrance exams are taken around now, with the real deal in April.] This is the year Sailor Mercury- Hama Chisaki- is in "examination hell." Even though she's busy with filming, she's doing her best. Anyone who's in elementary/middle/high school, or what have you, and is preparing for the exams, please do your best. Some of my juniors in a middle school [which Miyuu has graduated from] have been fixed what high school they each are to enter. Ah, (hearing this,) I realized that I'm going to soon be a 2nd year high school student. Meanwhile, Usagi will be in examination hell this year!? What will be going on with her?(laughs)

By the second year of middle school you pretty much have to decide what high school you'll be focusing on, and of course senior year of middle school is spent preparing for the exam. Same thing for high school/university. (If she's planning to go to college, that is.)

I wonder if Hama Chisaki will become like Mercury did in the Ami-chan no Hatsukoi special? (One of the funniest 15 minutes of animation you'll ever see.) Kind of like this except not so clearly cut and paste in Microsoft Paint:

This is by far one of the stupidest and worst pictures ever and I apologize for you having seen it.

Alright. I need to stop doing updates at 2 in the morning.

Some news bits: don't forget that the Sawai Miyuu fansite contest is ending soon, and that Nae (covering the synopsis again this week) also has her site up.

Next up, this week's Moonstruck! It wasn't finished on time because it took 12 hours to do. This is quite a labor of love on the part of the Lunar Archivist.
