Live Action Sailor Moon update (Episode 16 preview)

Home EC class! Woooo!
(Do they still do that in high school?)

The Act 16 preview is up on a reasonable day this week at the official Live Action Sailor Moon page. Most of the weekly diaries are also on time as well, so I plan to have them all for you in one shot tomorrow.

One of the Dark Kingdom's Shitennou, Kunzite, and his youma, are beginning to scheme again. Recent 'disappearance' incidents were caused by his powers. And Rei and Makoto have made sure of this. Yet, that while the two of them were fighting youma, Usagi was spending time with Mamoru, is something she can't talk to them about...

Meanwhile, at school, Ami and Naru fall ill at ease with each other over their relationship with Usagi. Sharp language from Naru wounds Ami deeply. Afterwards, by chance, Ami sees Naru on the same street. Just as Ami is thinking to slip away, a hole suddenly appears in the earth under Naru, who slides in!

I write "relationship with" to make the sentence flow better, but the term used in the original is megutte which means circling or 'patrolling.' So basically, as they're doting on her, things aren't working out right.

The Toei page has the following notes:

With difficulty the youma was exorcised from Sailor Moon. Yet unbeknownst to her, Kunzite's "Energy Farm" battle plan has actually been advancing. Right in front of Ami's eyes, Naru is caught in one of his traps...

The youma brought Edea to mind for some reason.

As the 'good atmosphere' between Usagi and Mamoru begins to blossom, Kunzite's plan nears completion. It's going to be a big problem!

"Good atmosphere" is the literal translation of the term they use. The HICBC previews also like to use the good/bad 'atmosphere' metaphor in gauging relationships; that they used a different one for their reference to Ami and Naru was almost surprising as they seem fond of writing that specific term every week. (The atmosphere between Usagi and Mamoru is bad, the atmosphere between Rei and Makoto is bad, etc.) The previews don't really flow well in the original language; they're intentionally stilted, and often use hackneyed and trite language. One of the HICBC favourites is sonna toki [at that time or at the same time] and it's a rare update indeed that doesn't have that precise phrase in the text.

A brief reminder about the Sawai Miyuu fansite contest: be sure to take a look if you missed the mention of it before. Also, an upcoming Photoshop gallery installment is "Advertisements Ahoy" and there's still plenty of time to enter.

There's been an update to Heavy Cat's Gemini Project page. (The Sailor Moon video game being worked on.) Check the link for the full update, I'll just quote it briefly:

We will be making another presentation, but unfortunately we don't have enough time to complete a playable demo of the game, so we will be making some additional gameplay animations to include with the current Gemini Presentation.

For those of you wondering what's been happening with the project, fear not, the crew at Heavy Cat are as busy as ever.

Lastly, there are a couple of SM products coming out in Japan soon:

1/23 - Revised Tankoubon #6
        - Sailor Moon musicals box set - Anza (Region 2 DVD)

2/18 - DJ Moon CD album (Live action series related, check this thread for more information)

For some reason digital media related to the live action series (CDs, CD singles, etc.) keep getting pushed back, renamed, or cancelled.
