Live Action Sailor Moon update (Fifteenth Episode synopsis)

Just gonna be one of those days again.
Credits for the picture captures go to Serecindra

A friendly reminder that Serecindra has her storyboard pages up, with picture hosting on them courtesy Bill Heineman.

A HUGE, GIGANTIC, SUPER thanks to Aaron Malhiot (DoseiNoSenshi) and Namiko Kodera - Aino Minako (小寺菜見子・あいのみなこ) for this synopsis of Act 15! The text of the synopsis is all theirs, horrible picture captions are mine, so blame them naught for that.

Act 15.

We open with Usagi in the secret Karaoke room.  She is dressed warmly and is encased into a carrot shape.  ^^  “Kunzite had begun to change me into a youma, but Ami-chan and the other Sailor Soldiers helped to save me.  I thank them!”  “Return Usagi-chan!” Mercury shouted.  “I should thank another person: Tuxedo Mask!  He has saved me again.”  The carrot bubble widens to show the whole room again, “I think that because of his actions everyone should recognize him.”  She looks at the other three girls.  “A thief is a thief!” Makoto says.  Usagi turns to Ami.  “I think he is not a bad person, but…”  Usagi smiles, “Yeah, yeah!”  Rei then speaks, “I really feel a strange aura from him.”  Usagi looks uneasy, then Luna says, “I think you should stay away from Tuxedo Mask.”  The three girls nod as Usagi stands there looking at Luna, seemingly feeling lonely.  She looks at the girls, then sits sadly and sighs, “I have no choice…”

At the Aino residence, Minako enters a room and shouts behind her, “Good night!”  She shuts the door, walks over the window and pulls the curtain aside.  She sees the shadow of a youma on a wall across the street, “The youma are staying around me again!”  Artemis crawls onto her shoulder, “The enemy wants the Princess and Phantom Silver Crystal.”  Minako sits on her bed, “I have to do something.  It will become a big mess if there are many youma around me like there are now.”  Artemis nods.

At the Tsukino residence, Usagi enters the dining room in her school uniform, shouting, “Good morning!”  Her mother responds with the same thing.  “Today is a cheese omelet!”  “Yay!” Usagi shouts receiving the plate her mother hands to her.  Before Usagi can begin to eat, Shingo turns to her, “Usagi, a thief has gotten into Minako’s house.”  “No way!”  She begins to watch the news report which talks about a robber stealing important jewelry from Minako.  “Ah!  Poor Minako-chan!” Usagi mopes.  “Minako is an idol, but the police won’t pay attention to her,” Shingo tells Usagi.

"This handkerchief is just... gorgeous."

In Mamoru’s apartment, he is watching the same news report on his couch.  He’s wearing a white shirt that just looks hot on him.  The reporter goes on about Sailor V not appearing recently, which is relevant because Sailor V usually would.  Mamoru’s eyes narrow, but he then shuts the TV off.  He slowly and calmly sets down the remote, then utters, “Sailor V…”  He remembers her appearing just before she became Sailor Venus.  “It seems I can’t hide this anymore.”  She threw off her mask and became Sailor Venus.  “Princess…  Sailor Venus,” Sailor Moon said.  Venus smiled and nodded.  Mamoru gets up from his couch and thinks, “Does Sailor Venus have any connection to the princess in my dream?  I think I can get some information if I listen to Sailor Moon and those girls.  However…”  He remembers when Usagi shared her hot meat-filled bun with him.  “I thank you, just a little bit,” Usagi said.  “I don’t think I can think about her anymore,” Mamoru thinks as he clutches Usagi’s handkerchief.  His phone then rings and he turns to it.  He walks over and answers, “Hello?  Yes, that’s me.  I know.  The promise holds until graduation.”

In the Dark Kingdom, Beryl’s crown is higher on her head than usual and she calls Kunzite’s name, “You said you would collect the energy of the Sailor Soldiers.”  Kunzite is bowing with and next to Nephrite.  Kunzite smiles and erects his back, “Yes, they are always acting like carefree girls.  I shall target them again, someday”  “Pft, did you say ‘someday’?  You have a big mouth.   You have such audacious words, yet you bring nothing.  You are unacceptable!  Go back to your little house, quietly!”  [He is referring to keeping himself in solitude.]  “Nephrite, you always say I am unacceptable, but to say my creator, Queen Beryl, is an idiot?”  Nephrite is surprised that he said that and looks to Queen Beryl who is only watching.  “No, I mean—,” Nephrite says, but is cut off by Beryl.  “Stop!”  Nephrite turns to her and bows, “Yes, ma’am!”  “Kunzite,” Beryl says, “You should continue collection energy.  I don’t want to stay here anymore.”  Kunzite bows, “You can trust me.”  He turns to leave, but pauses at Nephrite, “Hey, guess what: the Princess’ important jewels have been stolen.”  Nephrite turns to him, “What?  Perhaps the Phantom Silver Crystal?”  “It’s possible!  You have no chance because now, mere thieves have her precious jewels.”  He smirks and takes off.  “Impossible,” Nephrite says, “I’ve placed a youma near the Princess!”  *Eee!  Nephrite is taller than Kunzite!

At Juuban Middle School, the students crowd in with their winter clothes.  Usagi yawns as she walks in.  “Good morning!” a girl calls, Usagi responds, “Good morning!”  Naru appears a few yards back and runs up to Usagi, “Usagi, good morning!”  “Good morning!  Have you heard about Minako?”  “I have.”  “It’s terrible!  I think the thief will sell the jewels…”  “My mom said sometimes the stolen jewels are shown at an auction.”  “No way!  That’s unbelievable!”  “The auction is really nice; there are many jewels.  Tomorrow is Saturday, isn’t it?  The auction will be held tomorrow!”  “Huh?  Can we see it?”  “Oh yeah!  We’ll use my mom’s name!”  “Just as I thought!  How cool!”  Ami walks shyly to her box.  Usagi sees her and shouts, “Ami-chan, good morning!”  Naru looks over at her with eyes that just say, “Oh…  Her.”  “Good morning,” Ami responds.  Naru remembers the scene when Ami shoved her against a wall the other day.  Naru then glares at her and Ami looks down.  Naru then rudely pulls Usagi away while trying to start another conversation without Ami, “Hey, Usagi, let’s go do Karaoke after school!  We haven’t done that for such a long time!”  “Um, okay…  Well, Ami-chan, would you like to come with?  You don’t have cram school today, do you?”  Naru glares again, then turns away from Ami but stands next to Usagi waiting for her to finish with Ami.  Ami nods, “But I’ll pass.”  “Aww!” Usagi whines.  Ami proceeds to change her footwear and Naru pulls Usagi to leave.  Ami just looks on.

Don't worry Motoki. Someday you'll find it, the rainbow connection.
And all will be right in the world.

At Karaoke Crown, Motoki stands before Kamekichi’s tank and holds a picture of a turtle with hearts all over it up to the glass, moving it like it’s alive, “’Kamekichi-san, nice to meet you!  I’m Maririn!’  How about her?  Why don’t you think about getting married?”  “You should worry about yourself more than turtles,” Mamoru says.  “I’m fine!”  “Are you sure?  How about her?”  Motoki stands straight, “Her?”  “Tsu-ki-no U-sa-gi.”  “Ah!  You always say that to me.  I care for her but I think you are wrong [about her liking me].  She doesn’t feel towards me.”  “Stupid, don’t you remember last year we went to that park?”  “She seems to have had a change of heart.  Recently you’ve been,” Motoki says smiling, but it cut off by hearing giggling coming from outside.  He leans against the counter still smiling.  Usagi, Naru, and those other strange girls that always follow them enter.  Naru says, “Come to think of it, you told me that there was a boy that came suddenly and left suddenly.  What’s up with him?”  Usagi seems a bit surprised, “Huh?”  “What’s that?” Momoko says.  “What, what?!” Kagami says.  “He’s Usagi’s!” Naru tells them.  The Momoko and Kagami scream and Usagi tells Naru to stop, then she see Mamoru.  Everyone shuts up.  Mamoru is watching them with an arrogant look.  Usagi gasps, but then Motoki calls to her, “Usagi-chan, how have you been since last time?”  “Oh, thanks [for asking, I’ve been fine.].”  Naru comes up, “What?  What happened?”  “Ah, before I slept in the Karaoke room.  I was sick.”  “I was surprised,” Motoki says, “Mamoru was there so he put you on his back and took you off.”  “Huh?” Usagi gasps, “On his back?”  She looks at Mamoru.  Images from when he was taking her down the street are remembered.  Mamoru looks down at Kamekichi, and Momoko and Kagami complain and Naru joins them.  “No!  Shut up!” Usagi says, “Thanks a lot for that.”  “It’s no problem,” Mamoru says.  Naru smiles mischievously while looking at Usagi.

In the secret Karaoke room, Luna is on the computer, “Let’s see…”  Rei is reading a book that seems to have something to do with hand movements (It says something about Spirit Protection on the cover) and Makoto is sipping out of a mug.  The door opens and Ami appears from the other side and begins to make her way down the stairs.  “I told you she’d come,” Makoto says to Rei.  “Huh?  What?” Ami says.  “We were talking about everyone coming here even if we weren’t having a meeting,” Makoto replies.  “Ah, it’s my habit,” Ami says.  “Me, too.  There’s nothing to do at my place,” Makoto says.  “And Usagi?” Rei says.  Ami’s eyes go wide, “She is singing with her classmates.”  Makoto nods and drinks from her mug.  Ami is looking down and appears sad.  Rei asks, “What’s wrong?”  “No, nothing.  Coming here is our habit, but Usagi doesn’t have the same behavior.”  “It doesn’t matter if Usagi is like that,” Makoto says smiling.  “Yeah, I understand.”  Rei continues to look at Ami worryingly.  Luna makes an uneasy sound as she is looking at the computer.

Later that night, Usagi and Momoko and Kagami are singing to “C’est La Vie” and none of them has a very good voice…  at all.  Naru’s white jacket is left on the seat without her in sight.

At the front desk, Motoki is showing another picture to Kamekichi, “‘I am Jasshî!’  Hey, how about her?”  Naru appears on the other side of the case, “Cute turtle!”  “You know?”  “I know, I know!  Um, could I have you do something for me?”  Motoki stands straight and thrusts his head waiting for what she wants.

Fact of the day: did you know that selling used schoolgirl panties is illegal in Japan now?
(Did you know it was legal before...)

Usagi walks up to the entrance of a tall, glass building and sees a sign that says, “World Jewelry Auction 2004”.  Naru runs up behind her, “Usagi!  Sorry I’m late!”  “It’s fine!”  They walk inside together.  “Wow!  It’s great!” Usagi gasps, “Ah, where’s Kagami and Momoko?”  “Ahhh, those two aren’t coming here and I’m leaving soon.”  “Huh?!”  “It’s alright!  I called in a substitute!  Is he here yet?  Oh, there he is!”  Naru points over to a boy turned away from them.  It’s LeatherPants Mamoru.  “Uh, the substitute is—”  “Don’t say anything!” Naru says as she reaches into her pocket, “Let me see, these are Chiba-kun’s cell phone number, address, birthday, and blood type!” Naru says slapping a different piece of paper into Usagi’s hand with each word.  “Um, Naru-chan…”  “Good luck, bye!” Naru says as she runs off.  “Ah, Naru-chan, you misunderstand…”  Usagi turns around slowly and looks at Mamoru, “Ahhhhhh….”  She then makes her way over to him.  Mamoru hears her footsteps and turns to see her, “Hey!  What was the important thing you wanted to tell me?”  “Huh?”  “Your friend told me…”  “Ah, that’s wrong.  Naru-chan did all of it by herself,” Usagi explains, then bows, “Sorry!  I’ll see you later.”  As Usagi says this, the elevator next to her opens and as she turns to leave, she runs into three men dressed in black suits (one with a blue shirt, another with a yellow shirt, and the last with a red shirt) and they drop a suitcase, which opens upon hitting the ground.  Jewelry stuck in that black stuff jewelry is stuck in falls out.  “Ah, I’m sorry!”  Usagi goes to clean up, but then notices a pair of heart-shaped earrings with pink jewels in the middle.  “Huh?”  Usagi remembers watching Minako singing her new song on the TV with the lyrics at the bottom.

She remembers the camera zooming in on her earrings, which are the ones she’s holding right now!!  “AH!  This is..!”  The men scramble up and take the jewelry and suitcase, “Be careful!”  “Be careful!”  “Be careful!”  With that, they run off.  “Hey, are you okay?” Mamoru says, coming up to Usagi.  “Oh my, Minako-chan’s earring…”  She watches the three men bumble their way out.  She turns to Mamoru, “I’m sure because I saw those earring on her on TV before!  They wouldn’t sell them at an auction, would they?”  Usagi begins to run after them.  “Wait!” Mamoru says, grabbing Usagi’s arm, “What will you do?”  “I’ll steal them right back—”  “That’s stupid!”  “Why?!”  “That’s a job for the police!”  As Mamoru says that, Usagi sees a policeman walking slowly outside.  She runs outside to him with Mamoru following.  “Mr. Policeman!”  “Yes?”  Usagi explains and a pink line takes us over that, saving us the repetition.  “Minako Aino’s jewelry?”  He shifts his glasses.  “They’ll be shown at an auction!  Please catch them!”  “There are many accessories that look the same.  You should go back to your mother.”  He takes off.  “Hold on!  No way!  Hey!  You’re terrible!  I’m sure they were her jewelry!”  “It’s impossible,” Mamoru says.  “I’ll steal them back by myself!”  “How?”  “Of course, I’ll transform into Sailor Moon!”  !!!  Mamoru looks at her with huge eyes and Usagi realizes what she just said.  They stare off and walk a few feet away from each other like nothing happened.  Birds caw in the background.  Mamoru points up, “Ah, b-bird.”  Usagi points to the ground, “Ah, grass.”  Wind blows in the silence.

In a parking garage, Usagi and Mamoru peek out from behind a column.  “I don’t care if you don’t help me,” Usagi says.  “I got mad at the policeman’s attitude.  It’ll be funny for us to steal the jewels back together.”  Usagi is just staring at Mamoru.  He turns to her and she looks down.  “But, are you sure that we should wait here?”  “They got off the elevator which leads straight to the parking lot.  So, they came here by way of a car.”  “But they might sell the jewelry at auction…”  “I checked the auction list.  They didn’t enter in today’s show.  I think that perhaps, today they are just watching.”  Usagi nods.  Mamoru then suddenly pulls her down.  A policeman walks by.  “Be careful, they’ll find you if you’re just standing.”  Usagi’s heart then begins to pound as she nods.

At the Karaoke Crown, Makoto joins Ami and Rei in their secret room.  She asks, “Where’s Usagi today?”  “She went out with her classmates,” Ami replies.  Makoto nods.  Rei is looking at her worryingly again.  “Ah, I have I have something on my chest,” Luna says.  “What?  Usagi?” Makoto says.  “No, recently, there have been many cases of normal people disappearing.  My guess is that it’s the enemy!”  The girl’s eyes go wide.

In the parking garage, the three evil men exit an elevator.  Usagi and Mamoru see them and pop back behind the column.  “Remember the plan,” Mamoru says.  “Right.”  Mamoru walks out and Usagi watches.  The three men get into their car and Mamoru runs up to them, knocking on the window lightly.  The driver rolls down the window, “What?”  “I have to tell you something about an auction.”  Mamoru then throws something into the back seat and runs off.  One of the guys shouts, “Hey, hold it!” while another in the back seat rolls down his window, watching Mamoru.  The thing Mamoru threw into the back seat was a smoke bomb and it is now going off.  The three men cough as smoke fills the car.  The men open the doors and escape, then follow Mamoru.  Usagi is wearing a motorcycle helmet and tiptoes over to the thieves’ car.  She clears the smoke a bit and grabs the suitcase.  One of the three men looks back and sees her as she rises from the car.  She gasps as she notices she’s caught.  “Ah!” the other two return, “Thief!” he shouts as he points at Usagi.  “AW, it’s you who are the thieves!”  “Catch her!”  They then begin to chase Usagi down the garage.  The three men shout weird things and Usagi looks back as she is running and loses her balance.  She falls FLAT on her face.  She looks up and sees the men right behind her.  BUT THEN, Mamoru comes from behind her and blacks the men’s path to Usagi on his motorcycle.  “Usagi, get on!”  Usagi gets on the bike and they take off, riding toward the men who get out of Mamoru’s way.  They try to chase, shouting, “Wait,” and “Stop!”  However, they are too slow.

Mamoru drives up to some boardwalk at the edge of some river and stops.  They get off and Usagi screams, “We did it!”  Mamoru has a playful smile on his face, “I haven’t enjoyed anything like that for a long time!”  “Ah!  I think Minako will be glad!”  Mamoru turns to her, smiling.  Usagi flips her hair, then notices that Mamoru is looking at her.  They look down.  Usagi remembers Mamoru just using her name.  She looks back at Mamoru who is lightly smiling.

Elsewhere, Rei, Makoto, and Ami run up to an open place between buildings.  “This is where people have gone missing, eh?” Makoto says.  “Rei-chan, do you feel anything here?” Ami asks.  “No, nothing especially.”

Toy in stores soon.

Back on the boardwalk, Mamoru and Usagi are still leaning against the railing.  Mamoru says, “Let’s go home.”  “Yeah.”  They walk over to his bike, and the policeman from earlier walks up to them.  “Give me that suitcase,” he says, shifting his glasses.  “Huh?” Usagi says.  “You said…” Mamoru says.  A youma similar to Act 12’s appears out of the policeman who falls to the ground.  Usagi gasps and the youma walks up to her.  It pulls out a sword and Mamoru’s eyes widen, “Usagi!”  He runs up to the youma and tries to hold it back.  It charges Mamoru into the railing of the boardwalk, releases him, then slashes his arm.  Mamoru grunts in pain and then falls over the railing, hitting the ground with a thud.  The youma watches, then turns around.  Usagi runs over to the railing and sees Mamoru cringing on the ground below.  She turns to see the youma pick up the suitcase she stupidly left on the ground.  It then takes off running.  “Why did the youma…”  Usagi then looks over to where Mamoru fell off, then transforms, “Moon Prism Power!  Make-up!!”

Commercials are just capping versus.

The youma is running in a deserted subway (we don’t know why it didn’t just disappear into the Dark Kingdom), and it runs up to an escalator.  Sailor Moon is standing at the top, “Give me that suitcase back!”  The youma stops.  “I’m a pretty girl soldier in a sailor suit of love and justice!  Sailor Moon!  In the name of the moon, I’ll punish you!”  The monster then turns and starts running away from her.  She is surprised, but then does, “Moon Tiara Boomerang!”  The youma deflects it with its sword and sends the tiara-boomerang back at Sailor Moon who dodges it.  The youma jumps up a story and starts swinging its sword at Sailor Moon.  She flips backwards a few times and doges the swiping.  She then falls to the floor after losing her balance.  The youma then walks toward her slowly and goes to do a final blow, but Sailor Moon blacks with the Moonlight Stick.  She stands, flings the youma’s sword off, then kicks it in the stomach, sending it back to the lower level.  Moon jumps down and does, “Moon Twilight Flash!”  The youma explodes and Sailor Moon runs up to the suitcase, which has fallen to the floor.  She opens it to examine its contents and sees they are all there.  She then says, “None of these are the Phantom Silver Crystal, are they?  Why did the youma target these?”

Spin damn you, spin!

At some outside hall, Minako is walking down it with a suitcase and an attire to hide her face (large jacket and a hat).  Artemis pops out from under her jacket, “We succeeded in tricking the enemy into thinking the stolen jewelry was the Silver Crystal!  We can disappear for a long time!”  “It’s not part of the plan for Sailor Moon to be involved,” Minako says, “It’s safe because they survived, though.”  “If something happens to Sailor Moon, we’ll be wasting time.  It’s difficult.”  “She is a good soldier.  She’ll be fine.”  “Yeah!”

Usagi wraps another handkerchief around Mamoru’s wound.  They look at each other and Usagi asks, “Are you okay?”  “Yeah.”  Mamoru gets up and walks over to his bike arrogantly.  He gets on, buckles his helmet, then says, “I’ll take you to the police office and you’ll give the jewels to the police, right?”  “Over The Rainbow Tour” begins to play as Usagi nods, “Yeah!”  Usagi runs over, gets on his bike and buckles her helmet.  She then playfully wraps her arms around Mamoru’s waist.  Mamoru looks back at her, then they take off.  As they drive along, Mamoru keeps looking back at Usagi, and Usagi keeps looking at Mamoru off and on.

Where Rei, Makoto, and Ami have been, Makoto sneezes.  “I’m cold!” she says, “There’s nothing here!  Let’s go home!”  Ami nods.  Rei then calls to Ami, “Ami-chan, I don’t want to meddle in your business, but what happened with you and Usagi?”  “Huh?” she says as she turns to her, “No, nothing!”  “I see…”  Ami turns around again and Rei looks down.  Rei then suddenly feels something as she snaps to her right, “Be careful!!”  The girls look around as the ground begins giving away behind Makoto.  She then flips around and falls into the hold.  “Makoto!”  “Mako-chan!”  As Makoto holds onto the edge, she struggles to not fall into the ant lion-like hole.  A light is coming from the middle.  Ami and Rei run up to her and try to pull her up, “Mako-chan!”  Rei notices a youma in the middle, laughing.  “Youma!”  The two girls struggle to pull Makoto up, but then the youma launches a rope and wraps it around Makoto’s ankle, trying to pull her down.  Rei then tells Ami to transform.  She nods.  The moon cycle circles Ami’s face.

Now with 100% more grinning action.

Next time, on Mighty Morphin’ Sailor Moon!

“Let’s go!” Mars says and Mercury and Moon nod.  “One,” Mars says.  “Two,” Moon says.  “Three!” Mercury says.

“Do you know what this is?  It’s an omen of revival!” Kunzite says as Beryl and Nephrite look about the cave, which has lights flashing about.  (They sound like thunder).  One light shines over Jadeite’s face as he smiles.

“Watch out!” Rei says.  Usagi then runs into an invisible wall with Ami behind her.  “Ow!”

“One,” Mercury says.  “Two,” Mars says.  “Three!” Moon says.

Naru falls into an Ant Lion!Youma’s hole.  Ami reaches her arm out to her, but misses, “Ôsaka-san!”

“Why,” Naru says.  “Huh?” Usagi says.  “Why does she [Ami] worry me?”  Ami looks down.

“Well, this is the last one!”  “One,” Mars says.  “Two,” Jupiter says.  “Three!” Mercury says.

美少女戦士セーラームーンはフィクションです。

Once again, thank you Aaron and Namiko!! I don't know what we'd do without their write-ups.

Please note that in the future the synopsis will be on the front page Saturday evenings or Sunday afternoons.

From last night: I've got some interesting news. Many thanks to forum member "Poor Japanese" for this information! According to a post at 2chan.net (it's a massive Japanese BBS site, one of the largest Japanese web-portals out there) a girl named Sakata Mime, who's infopage is pretty bare but can be found here, has been cast to begin playing in the live action series starting from April in an "important role." She's currently 11 years old. Will she be Chibiusa? (Maybe possibly Hotaru? Likely not, but who knows.) I guess we'll find out then.
