Sawai Miyuu Fansite contest

 

The domain SawaiMiyuu.com, along with KomatsuAyaka.com, KitagawaKeiko.com, and AzamaMyuu.com, was purchased a couple months ago by the staff at Genvid. The interest in buying them was preemptory; although squatting for domains is no longer an issue for those who have the rights and wish to utilize them, domains which the rights-holder does not request could end up being turned into portals for pornography. There's been a spate of recent problems with this occurring, here's one example.

In all likelihood these girls will not be requesting the domain for their names, so left alone whatever spammer or pornographer who picked it up could have kept the domain indefinitely.

Since the domains were bought only to prevent this, if the one of the actresses or their company is ever interested in utilizing it, it will be handed to them for free. For the time being, though, as it does not seem like they will request them, it's also a shame to have them un-utilized. KitagawaKeiko.com is being developed, and we've already given away KomatsuAyaka.com. That leaves Miyuu and Mew; this is your opportunity to get Miyuu's, and Mew's will be up in the future as well.  Genvid is paying the cost for the domain, so you don't have to worry about that. However, should the actress ever request her domain, note that you will lose it without question.


So, how can you get sawaimiyuu.com? Well, I've come up with a contest to award the use of it as as a redirect to your Sawai fansite. 

The rules for the Sawaimiyuu.com Fansite Contest as Judged (and written) by Rob Maxwell:

1) It has to be about Sawai and not simply a Live Action Sailor Moon/Usagi fansite that barely mentions that she is played by Sawai. As such, "Sailor Moon" should be mentioned as only part of her career and not be the theme of the site, although the use of the words "moon" and "sailor" are acceptable for the title of the site.

2) You can use information from my site and even borrow a few pictures from my gallery. (The pictures from my main homepage and the Sawai homepage are off-limits.) 

A good source for Sawai images could be from screen caps of Usagi. (Personally, I seek out non-screen cap images to give my vistors something they aren't likely to see elsewhere.)

3) Being more of a technical writer and researcher, my site tends to be rather plain so I am looking for a more artistic rival to my own pages without it being an overblown 12-year-old-AOL-newbie-site.

4) The winner shall be selected based solely on the opinion of the Judge [Rob Maxwell]. 

5) The domain SawaiMiyuu.com will not be transferred nor will you be receiving hosting or be connected to Genvid. All Genvid is providing you with is URL forwarding; i.e. someone who types in sawaimiyuu.com or looks it up in the search engines will be forwarded to your site. You will have the option of frame or non-frame URL forwarding, and we may pull the domain for any reason.
