Naoko's Room Update
1/1/06 Part 1
There's been a new update (1/1/06) to Sailor Moon Channel's "Naoko's
Room," which is the online diary page of Naoko Takeuchi. We have a
translation of it ready now:
Happy New Year.
I'm sorry that I took a vacation from my manga last year. Right now,
managing my company and taking care of my child are using up a lot of time
so I was unable to draw as much manga as I used to but (here's the big
concern) on top of that, since it was a bit too much last year, my husband
and I got sick. (Thanks to a strong intravenous drip I'm now completely
recovered. Noroviruses, mycoplasma, and influenza seem to thrive in my head.
Everyone, please don't forget to rinse your mouth, wear a mask, and wash
your hands.)
Yet also in the last year were the release of Toki Meka and "Big Boome and
Little Boome" [the picture book] (which I made for my son's birthday
present. He was absolutely delighted when his father read it to him.) I was
very happy to see these published. I thank everyone who read them! (They're
still in publication.)
This year my husband and I will also be working at a slow pace (I'm really
sorry!) If you see any of our new comics please pick them up. And of course
I'm waiting for your letters. For New Years I'm in Tohoku [Northeast Japan].
This was Princess Naoko, currently buried under deep snow.
See you soon!
Check out some of the pages at the top of the update for some interesting
pictures, including an apology note from her husband as well. The third page
has an interesting discussion on her trip to a university which I'll
translate sometime soon.
I wanted to plug two things. First, be sure to check out
ASO Radio's excellent program,
particularly Episode #84 at about 71 minutes in, where they have a review of
Warriors of Legend. We received their top recommendation!
Second, the creator of this
Sailor V game
contacted us, and it's definitely worth your time. He basically made a game
that looks and plays like the Sailor V arcade game in the series. Be sure to
download and try it out!
